  1. if its been left connected to 12v it will be blown.
  2. id of thought the power going off completely would cause an alarm. I'm assuming there was enough power to keep them closed. One of many reasons you shouldn't use them vs dedicated fire detection.

  4. grade 3 i like Optex and Honeywell detectors. Elmdene or Knight contacts

  19. as above are you hoping that entering 1966 will disable it. If so would this not be used by burglars? you can't disable it like that as its not a diy bit of kit.
