  1. Looking for a pic of a ring door bell at Sab height
  2. I only know the hkc GSM option that is 4g and WiFi combined Plus the paths are then monitored separately. Polling rates are the thing to consider here. Just cos WiFi is available or 4g signal etc doesn't mean the alarm can transmit data. Proper pro systems poll at regular intervals. Ie grade 4 comms every 30 seconds grade 2 comms every 24 hours. The faster the poll rate the quicker a failure is reported. Plus if a GSM jammer and line cut is performed the quicker an alarm can be generated.
  3. Grade of system is grade 1 lowest grade 4 highest Also a 4g router will fail in a mains failure leaving you with no comms
  4. i reakon if you had 3 sounders on your wireless system you would be golden?
  5. the is215 is a small sensor? If you had cockroaches in it you need to tidy up more often
  6. The is215 had sealed optics iirc
  7. I'd break the issues down one at a time and make a post to just one issue. Else no one will want to read or help. All you will get is get someone who knows what they are doing to fix it. Bear in mind it's a forum from people that give their time and knowledge for free that they usually get paid for
  8. You mean size and standby time or the diagnostics?
  9. Agreed DIY but I'd use the larger one on the dvr but seems low
  10. No worries, the client loves the system and we’ve still got spares from donkeys ago so still service it! Good job it needs to be future proof. At least it's important to them
  11. I dont have it but it probably wont work unless you have an old windows 98 etc laptop

Yeah I am. I wonder if they are just finding valid email addresses
  13. Depending on their age etc you could leave them in place. Being a galaxy they will currently be wired eol 1k 1k. Need to check your new panel will support that or you may need to chnage the jumpers/resistors inside the detectors. Ion is a good panel but iirc the wireless side is 1 way (but im not sure never fitted one) You can diy anything but im sure you have seen diy in your profession. Some or ok some are terrible Be cautious with this. All apps running cost is either funded by product sales or fees. An alarm system notification cloud is a more critical system than say a lighting app or heating etc. If it goes down for a week it doesnt really matter. On an intruder alarm systm it matters a lot. Also free systems tend to be obsoleted quicker than fee based ones as additional income is required to fund it forcing new equipment to be installed and mroe ewaste. This is common in the home automation sector.

  15. And knackered the Bananas
  16. Bet you wish you had that on video
  17. The classics can't do silent part set. Would need a hi lo sounder with a volume adjustment or upgraded panel. I assuming not rf
  18. OP it looks like you had the tamper disabled or linked out on your SAB. Al is showing what needs to be done to rectify it. I also assume it was linked out for a reason. Either though lack of knowledge or because of an issue they didnt want to tell you about. If the issue remains then wiring it correctly will give you a fault that previously looked ok as you had no fault. You still did it was just bypassed
  19. they banned in Canada?
