Accenta+/ 8sp400a problem

Featured Replies

The alarm in my house is just not working. The spanner light is on and I am unable to reset it.

The system is about 10 years old. I replace the battery on the unit as I thought that was the issue. No luck.

It will let me enter numbers but none of the other buttons will do anything other than give the sound suggestion it's the wrong action. As I said, if I put the master code in, it's not taking it.

I would be very grateful if anyone help me understand the issue?

A decent quality battery would be an improvement but if it's not been serviced correctly and on time the psu is probably shot. You could try power cycling it but at least put a decent battery in it

Thank you for the reply. Admittedly I have not had it serviced. I have power cycled it and I don't seem to get any further. The battery is a like foe like replacement from what was there. It is working as the alarm stays on when I kill the power.

If the PSU is shot what is a good like for like replacement where the cabling will be the same so I don't need to replace pirs or bell box

Wants rewiring anyway it's not been wired in the correct cable and there's only 2 zones so I'd start again if I was working on it.

Thanks you. If I go with scantronics or enforcer, do the pir or bell box need changing? Honeywell said the bell box will be fine.... No guarantee on pir units
