bear in mind both are budget units the ex35 is well old now too. i like optex detectors but an rx-40 is way better than the old ex35

there is quite a lot of differences between the two grades. And no one makes (that i know of) a grade 3 rf system yet -
everyone should avoid port forwarding, its fraught with liability
