    Deterrent? Professional dummy box like a ADT box off eBay probably be better than what your trying to do, no offence intended Forget the dog buy the box and then play around with the alarm for the next 6months while ADT box is up there , get flasher unit with it if you can

    Eaton ion 40 then if it's DIY wired gives you wide options Enforcer if you want to scrap the wired bit although better to keep wires where they work Both can take an external bell , both require more work than you might think but are more simple than others Ring is a door bell mostly , trying to venture into CCTV , a door bell with video , won't protect your property much

    Yes , I think sometimes or allot of the time , its wasted on old panels , yet a everything else is updated around the house
