Can be yes But at panel 0v to one leg of sensor which is centre of zone1&2 And Z1 leg to other leg of sensor Then zone 2 would be one leg from same 0v connection at panel and other leg to z2 You could ignore that drawing as it may confuse you using the fault connections

Try setting alarm and pressing reset again Cover has a spring behind it which might not be making contact If engineer reset , then there is a special code and you will have to call out a local engineer to do it for you perhaps If it's a locked version not sure if any were but then may mean replacing whole panel

Panel just wire the two cores to a zone and that's it , the panel uses two cores for the zone for tamper and alarm , which is why eol is done at the sensor
