If your trying the new version pa button it won't work with old portal , you need version 3 Old square oblong will work But from what I know round new ones won't with can be worn on wrist or pendant , atleast it's how ingot it to work Oh and you need newest firmware on panel

One time we had big fat NVR in the loft space , you know we lashed it in and all that Fault comes after bathroom refit , local done refit, but took our power and wired his new lights to it Classic was our cable was moved over to the lighting circuit , Cool CCTV off in the day comes on at night ......

Seen plenty on galaxy never seen them snap much, I think it's more to do with who stripped the ends and how much they messed with , agreed bend back and forth enough you can snap them On refurbs it's detector special when builder cuts your cable and say we ran you a brand new cable , when you look it's a cat5

Nothing wrong with copper cat5 on data runs why would it snap? All IT data systems and some very important gear is run this way But I guess you guys prefer CCA Telco cable lol

Can be yes But at panel 0v to one leg of sensor which is centre of zone1&2 And Z1 leg to other leg of sensor Then zone 2 would be one leg from same 0v connection at panel and other leg to z2 You could ignore that drawing as it may confuse you using the fault connections

Try setting alarm and pressing reset again Cover has a spring behind it which might not be making contact If engineer reset , then there is a special code and you will have to call out a local engineer to do it for you perhaps If it's a locked version not sure if any were but then may mean replacing whole panel

Panel just wire the two cores to a zone and that's it , the panel uses two cores for the zone for tamper and alarm , which is why eol is done at the sensor

Deterrent? Professional dummy box like a ADT box off eBay probably be better than what your trying to do, no offence intended Forget the dog buy the box and then play around with the alarm for the next 6months while ADT box is up there , get flasher unit with it if you can
