As a newbie or chancer as some might say
I assuming you need to fit something in-between the lock and the controller , this way controller has no choice that doors are released ???
Is it flashing starts ? Perhaps you connected battery wrong way round at first ?
I would disconnect battery and the mains , then reconnect mains and battery see what happens
Dude
Seems you basically wouldn't buy an alarm altogether as you don't pay?
Local engineer, even if you paid him £200, will service it give you codes and then won't maintain it in future unless you pay whatever he charges for call outs and servicing or do some your self
And that will be cheaper than you installing new
Maybe
But we only hearing one side right ?
Nothing new with what your saying, plenty of customers get unecessarily fed up with there installers for some reason or other ....
Basically you want to DIY it
Buy stuff from UK, then from us and hope it works together instead of going with adt and signing up
If you meant something else in all of the long story , that's all I could figure from it.....
As swb says stick a wire on it , and if you ever want to disable tampers some bells require to be connected temporary to 0v or something like that , then you can open bell without the siren going off or something like
