  2. @SFB SolutionsFrom your question I assume your experiences are in FM rather than a proper alarm co. ? Accreditation is expensive to gain & maintain, there's easier ways to make more money (IMHO)
  3. but the PSU does'nt have the loading of running all the devices of your full system ? I'd assume a new battery with the new controls ? eg- warranty work ?
  4. anybody looked on ebay ? the guy selling the radio EWD's has an "interesting" amount of new stock & all the old tat he's ever removed
  5. Not covered by the "IIRC" ?
  6. I'd assume open unwanted keypad, snip each wire in turn. Turn off on other keypad & see if it sets ? I doubt the system knows who many keypads are fitted but might have global tamper. Led on pir will be jumper or dil switch setting... You can have loads of amazing features on an new alarm control, however there very few that want to pay proper money...
  7. personally I'd replace the controls as yours is DIY gash from maplins if your prepared to spend to a couple of hundred pounds you should be able to get a new set of controls with 2 new rkps, a battery & external box, which work as your desire. if you too cheap & want a diy fix, remove 1 keypad & deselect the led on the pir
  8. welcome back OX!
  9. does the alarm relay also open on AM ? is the sensor nr a door ?
  10. what controls is on ? is it on the main board or an expander or off keypad?
  11. these van casting shadows across the rm ?
  12. "maintained" was the term used in BS4737 to describe a service contract... the terms of each contract are different at different co's
  13. how are you testing the battery ?
  14. why are you removing the battery ?
  15. there's Karizma, Karizma+ & a Karzima UDL even if we fitted it we'd have little interest in supporting it, You'll be lucky if you can find someone who'll supports the cabling
  16. just buy a wireless one?
  17. If they traveled further it might have costed more ? they on site in normal working hrs (mon -fri in 9-5 hr)
  18. A deeply discharged battery may prevent the controls from restarting cleanly as it pulling the voltage down...
  19. your £50 visit was cheap, £10 each for a sensor battery was dear We'd be more than £104 & if non contract we'd might not come at all By contrast A daytime visit for my house telephone would be £120+vat if my equipment is not at fault The business telephone line went off some months ago £450+vat for an engineer to attend on Saturday morning I declined, they fixed some days latter at the exchange (there a bunch of clowns) I pay call costs & line rental.... you've provided no income for your alarm co. since the install I'd change lithium radio alarm battery's every 2 yrs & the lead acid battery every 5yrs unless they fail earlier In your case I'd **assume** the end station, radio expander & keypad ect... stopped working after 10hrs or so. when powered back up it recharged its battery but shows L! for every radio device or something ? The batterys may not need replacing at this point but I'd expect who however replace them has measured them & found there down on volts? Any fault with your CPX will appear in the log, view it ?
  20. nah, I wanna pull all my risco tat out !
  21. on the books I've a full 32 zone agiltity the subscriber cancelled the maint, as they could change there own battery's.... they soon went back on a maint which inculdes all battery's we don't do lots with the product, so takes a 1/2 day visit to change every battery & clear faults ... they moan at the high cost. we moan at the low margin we currenlty change 50% each visit, however its a pain the balls
  22. there an arse to work with. they'll also set off the keyfob with faults present which prevent you from setting from the keypad
  23. Best pop them in all in a cardboard box & take a trip to the local council tip in your Vauxhall Omega ?
  24. yes, "Power Max Express" or something
