  1. Is L22 rough ?
  2. What colour horse did your alarm installer ride? For less than a grand I could have done you a proper alarm with sensors on their own zones & tamper circuits...
  3. google Ray & he his own web page with name, address, life history, mobile no. ect... Isn't it a data protection issue to be posting IP no's ?
  4. 9.1 miles out & pooled IP address your ip (static I assume) is running services on ports 22 & 4567 isn't it amazing what you reveal about your self by simple click of the mouse...
  5. deffo 138ml from your post code I assumed you meant "southfield" in Liverpool, if your going off the ISP "south field" locally is 9.1ml away Being a simple connector of wires.... what you using dropbear for ?
  6. I'm 138miles away
  7. Is the cafe in the city centre ?
  8. In addition to being an alarm monkey I was once a shutter monkey.... I could have been a c# monkey, but I had more self respect ...
  9. alarm movement detectors are to detect the infra energy of an intruder (ideally human sized moving across a room) they may see flying bricks, house plants falling over, blinds moving but is not really their purpose. A breakglass detector should detect the sound of breaking glass depending on its positioning & type of glass in the pane. They also may detector other sounds like key being jangled or bottles being broken on the street If you want to protect glass buy a shutter
  10. I'm saying you failed to select a competent service provider
  11. Ex Construction Engineer, Banker, software eng.... blah blah blah But inexperienced in the field of "alarm monkeying" Even with your 2 degrees you made the mistake of employing a "prick end" to "bell up" your cafe... I suspect you didn't use a proper co. The basic function of the alarm movement detector is to detect an intruder within the "protected premise" vandalism of the brick coming though the window isn't an intruder

Its very unlikely the alarm is doing something to trigger the occupancy sensor. Mask your sensor(s) over with electrical tape, open door external *IF* there's a weird interconnection between the systems your lights will come on. I assume opening the door is causing something to move within the area of the occupancy sensors eg- blinds, house plants or some weird reflection on the glass of the opening door reflecting onto the glass of another building into the room with the occupancy sensors Reducing the sensitivity of your occupancy sensor(s), is where I would start.

What's your relationship in this ? Your alarm, your electrics or your building ?

I'd guess the occupancy sensor is on a suspended ceiling & when the door is opened the tile is moving enough to put the lights ons.... What is the "door alarm sensor" - just a contact ?
  17. Read the email & then looked up from the desk at the premier elite on the wall... & thought balls, my system works
  18. You have one on the bench to play with ? Or just the "live site" with the non compliance ?
  19. Lightsys2 ? Why on earth did you spec that..... I assume it will it do an exit terminate ? (adding a button is probally less hassle than reading the book?)
  20. ita the alloy which is appearing to rot away much quicker than in the past ?
  21. Had it 7yrs or so, I recall £250ish but may be wrong ? Its POE on 24 ports, I recently bought an unmanaged 24 port TP-Link POE switch for £185 inc vat for a job & recall expecting the stuff to be way cheaper
  22. I really like controls with a castle heritage, but there a great commercial success rather than best product.
