Bt Revelation Problem

Featured Replies

hi all

Ive got a problem with a bt revelation,I think its a mk1 and its 4+12

its got just 1 incoming line and about 9 exts connected to it

the problem is that when an outside call comes in only extensions 20-25 ring

and not any of the others (exts 26-31)which are on the add on cards.

Has it lost its programming?(power has been off)

any help would be apprieciated

thanks

The internal battery on older systems does not last forever if the power has been off for a while.

Sounds like it has lost all its programming because of this and returned to factory default condition.

How long was the power removed from it?

Probably about time you thought about upgrading to a newer switch or at least replaced the battery etc or swapped out for a CCU with a good battery dependant on just how long the power was off.

Once done its needs to be reprogrammed with required ringing groups etc, the default ring group is Extns 20-25 (the first 6).

If you don't know the programming and/or don't have a manual etc - probably best to call someone in locally who does know.

Regards

Simon
