Simon_B
Good Afternoon Peeps I have a BT Revelation Telephone system just noticed a problem with it when people ring it rings a few seconds then it picks up leaving a dead tone then when people ring back it the line is engaged for sometime when we try to access the line via line key or pressing 9 it just gives us a dead tone no dial tone then a few min later after requesting the line it comes back any thoughts line 2 is ok Standard thing always rolled out - get a test phone or socket and analogue telephone directly on the line and try it off system (disconnected from PBX). If its ok - then reconnect back to system and try again, sometimes on a Revelation when having problems with lines - when the line pair and DC volts were removed and then reconnected this would clear the fault. You could also try disconnecting and re-equipping the line in system programming and a system power down/power up. If the line port (1) is at fault - then that is the main motherboard so unlucky, if you have a spare line port or get yourself another 1+3 card you could move the line to there - equip Line 3, disconnect Line 1 and amend any Systemphone key programming for Line 1 to Line 3 (53 instead of 51). Hope this helps Regards Simon ToneTel Telecom ToneTel Telecom www.tonetel.co.uk
