Hi all, After looking at some job ads, seems that without experience, they don't even look my way to take me on board. So my thinking is to decorate my CV with fire and security-related certifications. Now is a little bit confusing about where to start? I need help to answer some questions. I need your thoughts on: 1. I'm right that fire-related certifications would be more weighty, instead of electronic security courses? 2. If [1] is [yes] then where to go FIA or NSI or somewhere else? 3. Had to remove an old sounder, but several wires had been routed through the box, one wire was accidentally cut during the removal and the keypad next to it went blank and the alarm sounded.....put it into engineer mode & had the wire repaired....however now when trying to set the alarm it says CONFIRM DEVICES can I clear this using engineer mode ? many thanks

Hi, As beginner I'm bit confused to understand Honeywell's Galaxy Dimension model numbers. When searching on eBay I'm coming with random models and some of them not searchable in Honeywell's website. For example two models and C048-D-E2 and C048-C-E5. When the first one doesn't appear in searches linked to official web, but instead C048-D-E1 does. Thanks for any directions.

Hi, Honeywell good on making stuff, but their website that they display products really mess. As Galaxy CP038-01 keypad has in detail specifications but CP038-01-H not really. So my question is: if CP038-01-H accepts only HID cards or it does accept regular fobs as CP038-01 does and HID cards. Thanks.

I've just installed a new Vista 20P and I have programmed a motion detector as and Interior Follower, the front door as an Entry/Exit #1, and the motion won't trip the alarm. Both zones are in partition 1, and I'm arming in the Away mode. The motion shows up as a fault, on the keypad if it is activated prior to arming. This is what the keypad shows for each of the two zones: Door: Zn ZT P RC HW:RT 03 01 1 10 EL:1 Motion: Zn ZT P RC HW:RT 05 04 1 10 EL:1 I'm stumped on this and could really use some help. Hi all! I'm hoping I'll get useful information from this forum, because - sad to say - so many forums these days seem to be populated by folks who appear to get a buzz out of taking the p*ss! So then, can anyone please tell me whether or not I can do major work on my G3 alarm system with remote Accenta keypad by using my owner's code - or do I need the engineer's code? I need to extend some wiring and replace a PIR sensor and also add a couple of magnetic door contacts. Just taken over a couple of ATS systems that have access on a few external doors. Do these systems not have a timed egress function. Every one you have to hold the rte and open the door, rte just wired across the lock feed. Seems like a bodge way of doing it to me.

Anyone know why a zone programmed as unused still shows as open when trying to set? I'm sure it's a simple thing, but not a panel I am familiar with.

A bit different to the usual cloud issues. Enforcer panel has been installed since November and not missed a beat during that time. Had a power cut a week ago and the enforcer lost connection to the router and cannot reconnect. Checked all the settings on the router, and they're all ok. I've tried setting up the panel again, and this is where it gets unusual. Go into comms menu, select setup with device, my phone can see the enforcer ssid. Connect phone to enforcer, open browser and type in the normal 192.168.0.1. The phone tries to load the page, and then the panel drops the wifi connection and stops transmitting the ssid. I recently moved into a flat which is provided by a housing association, it came with an alarm but the landlord did not know the code as it was not installed via them can you find the reset codes online or do you need a registered engineer to reset it from what I can see the alarm is obsolete, but I seen a 4gen version guide is this the 4th gen version?

I am having difficulty registering a new wireless panic alarm fob (TCPA2B) to a Honeywell Galaxy G3 panel. The steps I'm using are: 1. Enter manager code the go to 42 --> 1 (user codes) 2. Find a user that does not show R[], pres Enter 3. Enter 12 (Radio Fob) --> 1 (Learn Fob) --> Enter * ->> 'Awaiting Fob' is displayed 4. On the keyfob, press both buttons until red light shows. However, after about 20 seconds the screen is going back to 'learn fob' menu option as it is not picking up the fob. Batteries are new and have tried a couple of new fobs. - None are being learned. Hi, We would like a professionally installed alarm system and have therefore contacted a local NACOSS installer, this company has been in business since the mid 80s and has a small high street shop. Their surveyor came last night and recommended a Risco Agility 4 system, they have a package that we could upgrade from so the PIRs could have a camera etc... We have a 1930s 3-bed semi, with a new extension at the rear, the surveyor recommended a PIR for the front room, one for the hall, one for the landing, one for the open-plan extension and a front door contact.
