done that buddy still the same. in fact ive tried every input to be honest 

 

NTSC / pal issue?

You probably have but once selected as CVI, give both the DVR and the camera a full power cycle.

Try it in CVBS mode?  See if you pictures ok, whcih should prove connections and bnc's etc.

Do you have suitable test monitor ?

 

If not take it down & put on fly lead nr dvr
