  1. The spider manifold things are useful but I am still not a fan of plastic. Can recommend trace as above, issue is the supply and would likely be an awkward run if you want to protect all the external pipe work as well
  2. Wouldn't speedfit stuff suffer from fatigue being outside?
  3. Sounds like something is wired wrong or broken to me.
  4. That's only for remote arming apps as part of the system IIRC. Third party connections are not going to conform to relevant EN's.
  5. I still fail to see the point with integration to the point where you allow third party devices to control the intruders arming and disarming, your just crating more surface area to be exploited. Sure I have said this on another thread but what really do you want the home assistant to do with the alarm? Yes it's nice if things can interface with each other for extra functionality but the main goal is security and people forget this.
  6. Don't have any Pre Elite panels they're for the bin if they get ripped out TBH.
  7. I can't see it being supported configuration at all but plausible that the expanders could be "understood" by both panels they wouldn't be "linked" in that sense tho.
  8. Most likely two separate systems. Connecting two via data isn't a thing AFAIK, certainly not supported if somehow that is the case.
  9. Ideally you would have the system serviced annually and as part of that the batteries in all the devices would be replaced as required, I assume there was a reason for cancelling that? ADT Visonic systems use components that run on a different frequency so support for replacement parts would be limited to ADT without buying second hand. While it's possible any engineer maybe able to get you sorted if it's simple or just batteries, but your going to get limited support and may not be able to get the app back online. One thing that may point you in the right direction if you keep pressing the "i" button it should point you towards the faults stopping it from arming.
  10. I thought you where better than that?
  11. Does look like the safety of the shed now to be fair...?
  12. Been a while and only played with one but don't you use the last 4 digits of the account number on the panel with dial capture? It may well be just something not setup on CSL end tho
  13. Not saying it wasn't good well built kit and worked well, that doesn't take away it was overpriced that was confirmed to me by an ex-DM guy.
  14. DM was overpriced and look what happen to them for not innovating and trying to compete.
  15. High and low sensitivity in panel end and pulse count is per sensor, they are completely different things.
  16. Nope on the PIR's
  17. I wouldn't if you can avoid it, inertia things with 1/2AA batteries they're expensive for what they are too. In practice it's the right idea to go perimeter, just unfortunate the kit your working with.
  18. You can lower the pulse count but you'll loose the pet friendly mode. Yes they are one way, so also sleep for a few minutes in normal operation mode. It's one way and pet friendly I wouldn't expect much guaranteed protection from it.
  19. They're are not great pickup on the default settings and are useless outside the strict mounting height in the manual.
  20. The intruder panel would control the heating from the systems set status not the beams. You can open a can of worms here, every installer would use different kit from different manufacturers to do the same job, difference is if you know how to install and program it. Most top end commercial panels are capable of controlling auxiliary kit if you know what your doing.
  21. Security is about layers start from the core and work out. If the perimeter system fails to operate or false activates and cries wolf all the time your left with nothing for your investment (both time and money). You can buy all the "best kit in the world" and apply it wrong you'll still have a poor system.
  22. I wouldn't class anything Hik "premium" myself. They don't sell/support proper Hik to end users so they can't aim to confuse end user, even if they change the model numbers all the time. Agree with above, there are so many mistakes to fall into with DIY CCTV, maybe have a look at some of the other CCTV threads here.
  23. Ding! But I prefer beams over beans tho
