Trying to install a micro SD card in a newly installed i-on40H and I get an "SD Card Error 2".  Are there any specific formatting/size/structure requirements for an SD card to work

What size card and what did you format it with

Camera recordings and upgrades (SD upgrade path is useful if you come across a really early one and want to jump firmwares without going around the houses)

FAT32 AFAIK

Funny enough I am just about to set up a bench test of an Ion-30R with an Eaton IP camera.

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Isn't there a limit on card size aswell ?

I would expect a 32GB card to work no problems. That is conveniently the max size Windows formats to FAT32 and the cut off for SDHC and SDXC.

Beyond that if larger SDXC cards work I'd expect it to be fine upto 2Tb unless they have designed some weird size/file restriction into it.
