There are several hard wired systems that provide free software with notifications. Bear in mind though none of them including Ring are 100% reliable. My doorbell occasionally forgets to let my phone know there is someone at the door even when Im on the same WiFi, it activates my home assistant everytime though

They claimed compliance, but its self certificated which is a bit like your local tyre garage claiming its Ferrari authorised

Welcome to the forum, the UK security industry has been somewhat slow on IP based and smart integration stuff apart from maybe CCTV. It may have something to do with manufacturers being worried about opening systems up to further compromise. (If its not connected to the internet it cant be easily hacked) We are beginning to catch up now though.

I had a similar conversation to this with somone that moved into a shop with our alarm. It was activating and they couldnt stop it. I offered to send someone they refused to pay for the call. They had a Verisure alarm and was saying we dont have this problem with their system, they didnt like it when I implied then nor will the burglar

Thats how we would have to do it, there is no magic solution. You may find if it hasnt been serviced for a long time that the battery in the box is dead in which case you want need to annoy the neighbors

A SAAB is a car, did you mean SAB ? Do you know where the panel is ? The false alarm will be caused by the system not being serviced, knackered batteries etc. If you down power the system and the external sounder doesnt sound you're in luck otherwise you will have to get up to that and disconnect it first

Manuals area is trade only, normally you will have 4 wires going the the door contact two will be circuit the other two will be tamper. Looking at the age of that panel when was it last serviced ? Has the battery been replaced within the last 4 years?
