  1. I would be very surprised if an ADSL filter was in place Even more surprised is the line was in telephone cable & proper shocked if the eng that came on site had a telephone set to test the line with....
  2. If it sounds too good to be true.... In twenty yrs are they going to be in business? Is the manufacturer of their controls going to be in business? Is the EN standard of the panels & there detection devices going to change so devices produced now are still permitted in 20yrs time.... Pass experience tells me apart from new old stock on ebay 20yrs is very long time in alarms
  3. Your installer appears to nolonger support your product, the staff that installed 6 yrs could well have moved on, retired or died.. How do you expect the co. to offer continued support for your install when you haven't paid them any income in a number of yrs? Should you be unhappy with this you simply find a different service provider who can support your system
  4. the normal relationship is you specify the channels you want them to monitor?
  5. Trade is often dearer than retail I need a new laptop, if I have a company name on the order they want 1% surcharge for using a credit card No co. name & no surcharge as I'm a consumer....
  6. Inc carriage its around a £1 cheaper than if I was to buy it from Risco...
  7. Cheap stuff from some online wholesale r...
  8. I've big one which was on the desk with pens in it. There not much pormo stuff in the alarm trade. Mugs, powersonic, duahu, dualcom... & an Eaton l keyring.
  9. Okay... Being a chunky alarm monkey... This was dinner...
  10. ADSL on the alarm telephone line will interfere with the Alarms ability to here the tones which make it stop dialing. A "working telephone line" can have a ground fault can interfere with the Alarms ability to here the tones which make it stop dialing.
  11. Normaly your contract would state the call charges are your responsibility. There is probably a ground fault, star services or adsl on the line which interferes with the digi hearing the acknowledgment of the signal & to stop trying. I'd assume the installer gets a report of sites which have't done a signal in 24hrs or report of sites with excessive signals. You may ask them why they didn't act on the information... In turn they might ask why you run it up to £600. I'd assume the goodwill of you telecoms provider & alarm co. would cover most of your costs
