Greetings from a very wet, dull, miserable and overcast Greek island, we came here to get away from the weather in the UK but have failed miserably today ! Crete finally caught the burglary bug shortly after we built our house here in 2008, in 1990 when I refurbed our UK family home I built in a wired alarm, as you would, but like an idiot assumed Crete would remain crime free, serious mistake and to make matters worse we do not benefit from the reliable back-up, especially in an emergency, offered by the Police in the UK. So bought a Scantronic Homelink 75 after reading good reports about it and its reliable wireless capability and fitted it, regretably not without a f…

Hi all, I have been working on and installing fire alarms for 10 years now and seem to be finding more and more networked systems being wired on a radial circuit with non isolated network cards. I always beleived systems need to be on a ring circuit with fault monitoring fully isolated cards. Is this not the case as I could be saving a whole lot of money in future. Regards Mark

Help please! I moved into my new house and acquired an Intellisense Securit 800L alarm. I had planned to reset the alarm code within the first couple of weeks but within 5 days the alarm went off at 3.40am. I managed to contact the old owner and disarm the alarm. I then reset the code to my own. The alarm went off again approx an hour later and I disarmed it. A few days past and I never thought much more of it. At exactly 1 month the alarm went off at 3.40am again. I've been trawling the web to find out why / how this happened. The only answer that it seems to be is it needs a replacement battery (FYI - the house / alarm is only 3 years old). Can anyone tell me if buy…
