Hi everyone, I hope someone can help. When setting my alarm last night I unwittingly pressed the chime button (had drunk rather a lot)& although I realised my mistake & reset the alarm we now have the chime sound every time we enter the 2 rooms which are omitted from being alarmed at night - the kitchen & our bedroom. Sadly I have no instruction manual & have no idea what to do to correct the problem apart from covering up the sensors in the 2 rooms affected which rather defeats the object of having a working alarm system. Please can someone help - the noise is driving us barmy. Optima XL6 Microprocessor. Many thanks, Regards, MH

Afternoon everyone My names Kevin and I run Zen Engineering. We are a smallish Merseyside based company with about 5 engineers (including myself) covering the fire and security sector. We mostly do work for the local councils and schools. We work on most fire systems and security systems and like to think we can keep our prices competitive in the current climate We are set up to subcontract, with all engineers having access to plain unmarked vehicles and plain uniforms. We cover the north west area and are happy to quote for works just about anywhere Thanks

:whistle:Hello All, I am Micky S, I am 40 something and live in N.Ireland ( south west of Belfast) I have my own little out-fit named Modern Security Systems. I install alarm systems ( mainly Texecom and Visonic) and also I install C.C.T.V. and security lighting. I try to stay on top of new happenings within the trade, and when available attend any training courses. I and I suppose all on this site don't know everything and that is why I have joined. If I can and am asked a question I will do my best to answer it or will find someone who does know. Hope to make some new Friends on the site. Kind Regards. Mick. P.S Please excuse any spelling mistakes as I can't find…

hello people hows the industry going a bit quiet over here has been for a little while, we are not a full approved alarm installer but just a qualified electrician who installs quite a few alarms i got my experience from an old fried of mine who works for ADT and my love for electronics and tinkering. we as a company install Scantronic 9751en-41 and the wireless version as it was reccommended and still learning about other alarms also... Hope this site will help us and maybe we can help other people too.

Hi all just signed up to this forum, I have worked in the industry for about 20 years but had to give up work a few years back to become a full time carer for a member of my family. Now trying to get back in the industry as self employed service engineer... dont really want to work for the nationals again if i can help it, prefer to work a bit closer to home...lol wow how things have moved on..... trying to remember my trade ...lol so may be asking for help at some point as still a bit rusty.

Hi all, I am facing serious problem. I am looking for NSI accreditation. I did all paperwork (screening, BOM, insurance etc). Now I am waiting for site inspections, but the problem is with number of sites. Customers don't want non NSI company to install alarm and without 8-10 inspected installations I will not be accredited. This is a Catch 22. I lost about 7 potential jobs this year only because of not being member of NSI. How other Installers bypass this problem? Can I get any help from other installers? Thanks Oak Alarms

Hello from not so sunny Manchester! I've been in the industry for around fifteen years but I only just got around to registering. Usually to be found messing with Guardall, Galaxy and Aritech panels amongst other things. I look forward to chatting to a few of you guys on here. Ciao for now!
