Project for today etc using solonoid valve and 10mm plastic speed fit fished in

 

Lol I've just been doing a pir activated motorised valve jobby, issue with the solenoids are hammer when they are activated.

would i be better of with a motorised one then?

Solenoids are OK and cost effective but they shut the water off suddenly and this has potential to exaggerate any weak points, tbh for 10mm I doubt it'll be an issue. 

I've used these with the manual override due to the application, cheap and cheerful.

Wouldn't speedfit stuff suffer from fatigue being outside?

Gets brittle but lots of pubs use it? Guessing maybe uv rated but probably not due to it not being critical?

What timer are you using and what voltage is the solenoid? 

 

Eta just seen the remote, I have a similar one in the garage, little 12v relay and 2 remotes marked A and B iirc, bang good special.
