Great value imo. If you are thinking about updating the panel it depends on what options you require. If like most you would like to control your intruder system by using an App then the Pyronix Enforcer HomeControl+ would be ideal. This may be a little expensive though and you would also need a expander for your detectors. Certainly worth considering though imo. https://www.pyronix.co.uk/products-and-solutions/enforcer-homecontrol-panel As for a straight swap for you Abacus the the Pyronix Euro Mini would take some beating. Again easily available online for approx £65 which is outstanding value. Btw i am not a Pyronix Rep but have been installing their equipment for 15 years and highly recommend it. Second the Pyronix Quad. Pryronix Euro 46 is now APP compatible. October 23, 20169 yr comment_451885 Everyone thinks that DT's are better and they are in the right environment, which is usually a more hostile environment than a house. I would use quads every-time over DT's in a domestic environment. Apart from in the garage, even then depending on the environment of the garage, you could sleep in mine on a cold winters day no problem so a quad is fine. October 23, 20169 yr comment_451891 Yup had a Siemens IR240 in a garage (one uninsulated wall and the door, rest part of house) on one job against my feelings at the time, been fine for ten years, panel set daily. Of course, it's been dissed for 9 of those years (joke) Edited October 23, 20169 yr by datadiffusion So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/40562-updating-my-pirs/page/2/#findComment-451891 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
