  1. it's the blow up by the neighbours that makes it look bad. Hopefully it will give up miles away from them, quietly
  2. just run ur really serious business stuff through a free service? sorry op it always amazes me that people expect lots from a free service. Security of home or business means very little to you then?
  3. tap is awful please don't use it for anything other than newspaper delivery. A kid with a bike will probably tell you have had an activation before tap does. But its a free system so you get what you pay for
  4. ill have a look, i might have some old f130's etc. good to see a keen mind
  5. If your that fussed id look into the gpio of the iot boards. However the optima/accenta will be reliable
  6. I thought that was celtic freedom fighter that's into leeks? opps leaks my bad lol
  7. it probably is, but do a full service while ur there
  8. you would know it does look gardtech 300 ish in a different plastic
  9. true, but you dont expect one to protect you and yours. Its a recurring thing, its been great for years but I didn't know id need it etc
  10. no, no point it worked fine for years till it broke, I did put new batteries in the remote tho but I doubt anything is trouble free at that age, security systems are expected to work for ever with no tlc. What else has the same?
  11. I'm just saying be cautious. Fire is different. You say your are changing conventional sounders? In that case should be a simple swap. But as with all things your last to work on it. As long as your happy to take on all responsibility for the system, then it seems a simple job...
  12. I know its not the answer your looking for but you do know its you that's responsible when working on fire? Even if your working for a company, ie your bit is wrong and people die its prison?
  13. Right well since I answer to no-one (other than my family, customers, accountant, HMRC...) anyway; I'm off early! E… https://t.co/oFD6RyN7dr

  14. the keypad will wire into the data connections not the circuit connections
  15. No movement detector will detect a 'flying brick' A dualtec needs both technologys to activate not just the mic etc. If you had a sensor that sensitive it would be going off all the time. That's fine when all its doing is turning a light on, not so much for an intruder alarm. You need to protect the perimeter as above ie glass break (I hate them) vibration (not advisable on a front high street window, or foil. Id also politely suggest you don't keep saying 'this is simple / plug and play etc' when talking to the people you want advice from and know more than you or you wouldn't be asking.
