  1. I do. Are you a stalker? It's not sign written though, have you seen one?
  2. I am starting to sway. Been looking at Lenovo thinkpad (bottom model) and another dell. Definitely not small laptops, but come with all the connectivity that a smaller laptop doesn't.
  3. Compared to most other laptops these days the old dells are like garden slabs.
  4. Quick search for external use drives, only roughly £20 so that's a good option. I have a windows tablet which was destined for work but I use that for home now.
  5. Don't use it unless I need to load software on. As anything in life though, as soon as you don't have something, you need it.
  6. Looking at upgrading work laptop, I currently have a bulky dell running xp. Want to go small, but in people's opinions based on your own experiences, will I miss the optical drive? Laptop will be used for site visits too, so will be running panel software etc, but will be mainly used for doing my daily work from other locations.
  7. I missed the wired bit! Lightsys is as agility but wired.
  8. The Risco agility will do all this for you. Not all installers support this manufacturer though.
  9. Has it always done this or just started recently?
  10. No, you'd be surprised how easy it is to forget about the masterblaster...
  11. 9100 is bulletproof. We still have loads out there. If it ain't broken don't fix it.
  12. ^^^^ I have these. I was once on a job hunt and only one company out of five had heard of them.
  13. It's true though. This isn't a forum for newbies to ask advise anymore.
  14. All the SD we have fitted have been full of bugs. Not sure how long they are on the shelves for before we buy but the software is always a couple of versions out of date.
  15. Nice and chargeable though surely?
  16. Had a few recently... One chap didn't even look at the price, he just signed.. In the same area.. One got another company in who were apparently half my price, and the other said my price was very reasonable and sent the order Friday.
  17. good basic panels I think. But apparently they catch fire within seconds if you connect the battery the wrong way.
  18. Cash for windows OnCall for android
  19. Many ppl have had firmware issues. Speak to the distributors and hikvision themselves though and the product is apparently flawless.
  20. Hikvision is very competitive on costs but not without its issues. Very easy for the customer to trip it up with remote usage and obviously very dependant on up/download speed. I have personally had issue after issue on one site with firmware and a few other things, going on for months, now hopefully have seen it through though. Touch wood.
  21. For my neck of the woods it's a very good wage for an engineer, especially with potential of 10k overtime.
