Thanks peter for the info are there any reputable hik dealers in the west midlands ? Will take a look at the security warehouse system , just need to read the number plate and see a face at around 20 metres max more like 10 metres should be ok

Thanks i see , ok lets ask the question what do i need to do what i need ? And its my home were talking about 1 cam at front upto 20 metres view number plate and face recog 1 cam at rear 10 metres face recog 1 cam on side 10 metre face recog i cam under canopy face recog 5 metres i want network access and view on ipads tabs iphones android etc not fussed with monitor but have a pc one ? Also need record facility 5 days rewind thanks again

I hear what your saying guys But,i thought ip cameras used the cat5 for power ? Not thinking of using a monitor,also the 2 bullet cams that need to see 10m to 20max are 140 surely the domes thT dont need to be so good would be cheaper ? Are there any othes people are using around my budget ? for your help

Hi guys looking for advise on a cctv install i need 2 cams to view around 20m and 2 around 10m also nvr ,ive been told 2 bullet and 2 dome 3-10 varifocal ip cams brands that have been suggested are hikvision and videcon,i want to be able to read a numberplate at 20m and face recognition if poss also there will be some security lighting fitted thanks any help appreciated

Why would i want to call a company ? Diy is diy lol No it just flashes 3 times when its set , its supposed to apparently but can be programmed out but i cannot find anything in the book ? Its an option on the next model up with the lcd keypad option 7 in the 02 miss ops menu

Can anyone tell me how to stop the strobe flashing when its full set please ?
