Webway Nano Launch At Ifsec 2015 (Stand G1430)
PSE replied to jimcarter's topic in Product / Service News
Just to add to this, I've also spoken to Ian at Texecom Support about this issue. He said he was aware of this problem and that they are aware that Maintex will only work via the IP Path. Seems a little odd that if is bandwidth issues that via Wintex is fine, but Maintex it fails. -

Thanks Jim, Over 3G, Wintex works perfectly. I can do a full data upload / download Over 3G, Maintex will establish a connection, but times out moments after. All are fine once the IP Path is enabled This is occurring on sites with SmartIP/3G Units -

I fully agree with you on the dial capture, That's the good advantage of the Digi-Air units Don't get me wrong, the Digi-Air is a good unit But for direct serial connections this suits better -
Webway Nano Launch At Ifsec 2015 (Stand G1430)

Not just for UDL, it's a 3G only unit out of the box. Suitable for domestic and low risk installations. Can be used just for UDL if required, as I'm informed, with virtually no annual recurring costs -
Webway Nano Launch At Ifsec 2015 (Stand G1430)

Can't wait give this a whirl, I have high expectations of it I had a good conversation with Paul a few weeks ago about it. Let's see how it goes, hopefully it will do what we need it to do. I really hope this works with Tex Premier and their remote service software (Maintex) The Smart units won't work unless there is a IP Path present, they fail over 3G Not sure where the issue lies, Texe software limitations or WebWay service? I look forward to testing it at our workshop soon. -
The beams wouldn't be external, they would be internal, across the opening

An intruder wouldn't know what side it was on. If the shutter is under 6ft, it's extremely unlikely to lift it without activation unless it's been cut. That's why best practice would be to install two shutter contacts, one either side. It's all dependant on the risk assessment really, if the likelihood is that the door is vulnerable and could possibly be cut with a grinder or rammed open then this should be already picked up within your servey / risk assessment, hence an additional beam or other detection device to cover it

Texecom Prem Elite 24 Auxiliary Tamper Alarm From Control Panel
PSE replied to jkno's topic in !!..DIY Installers..!!
I believe the dedicated input is fixed, not programmable, can't say I've tried otherwise. Using a spare zone, you could program as custom and select internal sounder only -

Connecting to a spare zone and programming for an alert will be fine, Once you've established everything is fine I would revert to the dedicated fault inputs adjacent to the bell terminals. -

I've installed FreePBX a while back, but that's as far as it got. Never actually set up it configured anything on it as I had not got a clue how to at the time. I would like to get something sorted soon, better than what we have now. Currently using E-Receptionist Virtual Pbx, which does everything at the minute at around £50 a month until I want to expand Any suggestions welcomed

I could never go back to being employed, I've been my own boss since 1993 If someone told me what to do now, I would tell em to feck off Like many here, we all work our knackers off and it becomes the norm every day I have spent years pushing the ruthlessly business forward without realising the obvious, I've got 3 daughters, 5,7 &12, it only seems like yesterday me eldest arrived. To start putting things right and start spending precious time, I booked a family holiday 3 weeks ago in gran canaria in June. taking my girls for some long overdue undivided attention at a waterpark holiday I've finally realised, time is precious, it passes by so fast. Make the most of it now. Money isn't everything

I remember when I wrote ours, Spent many nights in the office writing our Health & Safety Policy. It takes bloody ages. Same with Chas and SafeContractor, I did them all myself. Right pain in the @rse but rewarding at the end

They are fine until the staple hits a knot in the timber and flirts the staple into the cable, Even worse when you don't see the damage until you start chasing your tail when commissioning

I've had a direct account with CAME for years now, Our discount has been said to be above some wholesalers, Regarding the ZA4, I've just checked, We do pay less than my earlier post above. We do get good prices as we go through a good amount of parts.

Nothing to do with an airing cupboard, But I do have a few stories, First one, About 14 years ago I did an intruder install on a separate garage at the top of a guys garden, Routing and clipping cables around the roof timber, I disturbed a plastic Woolworths carrier bag, So I picked it up to move it. Though to myself, This does not feel quite right, I know what this is... Opened the bag, It was a loaded gun, an old one with the spinning barrel on it. Chucked it right back, did the job and said bugger all. Needless to say, Earlier this year he was charged for letter bombs and attempted murder on the news. Second one, (One I will never forget & My Favourite) Must be about 10 years ago, We did a large amount of student accommodation places with very basic intruder alarms. You go into the house, Each room is a separate persons room and shared kitchen/bath etc. Anyway, We got most of the cabling for the install but when it the external ball, We needed to get the to the front bedroom So I knocked on. I $hit you not, this young fit as bird opened the door to let us in, As we started to move a couple of items about, another girl got up from the bed, NAKED and started talking to us like it was normal. They were a pair of lesbians, There were some weird looking objects on the floor and an image that sticks in my mind of a double ender LMFAO, I'm sure we all have some great stories but these two have to be the ones I can most remember like it was yesterday
