  1. Cant say I've ever noticed the service timer on a CP8, Its deffo on a CPX but I'm certain the CP8 doesn't
  2. We use ICom F4200 VHF, get about 5 mile out of them in open terrain Perfect for huge industrial or commercial environment with loads of steelwork
  3. Totally missed the word Accenta, Saw the G4 bit. If it was onboard keypad, Which I assumed it was, It's powered by a LM7805 adjacent to the LM7812. Hence my theory of the regulator. As you say, if keypad is powered then it's something else other than the 7812 regulator
  4. Voltage regulator Gone, LM7812, top right of the PCB. Test it with a multimeter, Centre pin 0v, Left pin 12v, Right pin 14-20v If it's in warranty, return it, or its Repairable for £2.00 with a soldering iron.
  5. Just looking at the ACT 336L Lithium battery tester, Has anyone got one of these, And are they worth buying http://www.actmeters.co.uk/battery-testing/336l-3v-and-36v-lithium-battery-tester Regards,
  6. He's said he has looked at the manual for it and cant find it, So therefore if it was a G2, he would of seen the silent part set option, which is the only option to him on a G2 4 wire. The earlier Accenta's have NO option for a silent part set, The later G3 & G4 range do, and its documented in the manuals He said that there was nothing in the programming for a silent option, This indicate to me its not a G2 as its covered in programming Therefore I would assume that must be an older ADE Accenta 6 or 8, or a later Honeywell equivalent G3 or G4 range Either way, Dropping the Sound wire on an older ADE Accenta version or the later Honeywell G3 or G4 works as I stated above
  7. Model doesn't matter, As its Honeywell or ADE as it was back then, its not changed That works right back to the early Accenta 6 or 8 from early 2000 onwards, Audio is separate on its own core
  8. There is no need to rip anything off If its a Honeywell Accenta, G3/G4 range or earlier, Remove the wire at the keypad from the terminal marked SOUND Voila, No tones whatsoever from this keypad
  9. Yes it does, Connect it to the PGM output and configure it as required All panels will accept a speech dialler, connect to either the +ve or -Ve output, Make sure you choose the correct polatity on the on the dialler, usually by a jumper or within the programming
  10. ^^ Same here, GiffGaff is ok, but your to pup but select calls only. Don't buy an add on Your credit will last until it runs out, as long as a chargeable call or text is made within 3 months

    Android App Program?

Its unlikely that i wouldn't get internet signal between receiving a job and getting to it. However if it was to happen, as Mr Happy said Just takes a quick call to the office to get it, And everything is logged for future reference Its been heavily used over the last week now, no issues at all in deploying it Were doing UDL Into a pile of Intruder to migrate over... Should of done it years ago
  12. Word of mouth is the best form of advertising Only advertising we have is our website, That pulls in over 50% of our new clients each year, the rest is existing referrals.
  13. Trust me, It works on a Prem 24 There is no available parameters to setup the Com-IP on an earlier Prem24, But there was on a Prem48 The Com-IP is programmed by the control panel, When you reboot the panel it loads the IP/Subnet/Gateway Once programmed in a Prem48, Remove it and install into a 24. I know it works, I have one here on V7 firmware Technical always said the Prem24 was not supported for Com-IP, The firmware was limited, But not on the Prem48 I sussed it out years ago, got a few prem24's running with a Com-IP and working with Montex
  14. I may be wrong, But i would say its debateable. I know that its got a few specific security measures in place, and its on an encrypted secure server
  15. One of my guys made that mistake once, totally give him a right bollocking... He'll never do it again. This is another security implementation were making from 1st October with our new software toy. Each of our sites will have a random generated unique Engineer code and UDL code per panel
  16. Nar, Older Premiers will run an IP module with ease, I've for an old V7 Premier 24 with Com-ip running just fine, Working on Texecom app & notifications There were no configurations in the Premier 24 for the Com-IP settings Just bang it into a Premier 48, Write the details to the Com-IP and install it in the 24, You're away

    Android App Program?

Just picking up from this, This has all now been written into out admin side of our website I've been extensively testing it over the last 2 weeks and it works a treat Very simple process to go through, Engineer logs into secure site with email & password Engineer inputs a 7 digit contract number This displays the correct customers name This outputs a batch of random generated codes for different scopes In our master administration panel, This logs the engineer who has requested it Logs the date and time that its been requested On the first day of every month, engineer stats are emailed to me. This will make us a hell of a lot more secure and protect revenue I'm now ready to implement this and it will go live for all customers starting 1st October

    Ddns

This is the problem were having with NO-IP, DynDns is seamless
  21. I've got one that I will upload later when I get to the office

    Ddns

We use both DynDns and No-IP services with our own domain names. Ive just recently migrated around 80 clients over to No-IP and have had s few updating issues I much prefer DynDns but since there change in charges I looked at the alternative. I have 43 Pro accounts with 32 in each of them that used to be annual charge of £18'ish each DynDns now charge monthly at twice the price, that's why im looking migrating
  23. Yes, you are correct, I've used them for years hassle free. I like dealing with them as they seem to know exactly what is is that we do as an industry
