  1. This is a forum for technical matters, not legal advise, so my advise: 1 - No you can record audio. If the camera is on your property, viewing your property you can record pretty much what you like. Commercial properties are somewhat different. 2 - Dont know, not familiar with that kit. It looks like jonny 5 has got loose again. 3 - Again, not familiar. 4 - If he gave you a written quote listing audio as being included, then I would have thought sale of goods act to start with.
  2. Welcome to the site, there are bound to members here who cover your area, who can inspect and test your system. Out of interest, how did the fuse holder get damaged?
  3. but dont eat the nuts off the bar.
  4. Id have a steering wheel for the office wall. New, there must be millions of £ worth there.
  5. Slightly off topic, but DVR hard drive fails following PAT testing, power cuts etc is one of our largest growth areas (in terms of enquiries). And as CCTV systems are now prevalent, I see it being the biggest source of new work very soon. Three enquiries for this just this week.
  6. You used to be able to unclip the ribbon from its plug and reseat the ribbon to cure this termination issue. Might be worth a look.
  7. http://www.qingcables.com/Security%20Multicore.htm I had a few bits off these before. Reco to me off James.
  8. Whats it for? I assume you mean Beldon, but depending on what its for you might use Cat5.
  9. Its the number of platforms that are increasng, windows is becoming less relevant than it was when every home computer was a PC.
  10. Potting compound, messy stuff (voe, with a black desk top now).
  11. E-line G2, a bit of a fart on to fit IMO, but seem stable enough once up.
  12. We've ripped out loads of KX Dts due to FA's, they are garbage and not fit for anything other than a domestic room, so no advantage over a PIR. Replaced with iWise or Seimens. I dont think we've had a duff Enforcer, Euromini or Euro46 panel but have had a few LEDs fail on Castle keypads. I hear that they are now moving production back to the UK so hopefully quality will improve.
  13. filth. Ive a good mind to edit it.
  14. He said use a shopping basket, not a trolly.
  15. Dynamic sell them too iirc.
  16. Mine has the removeable nav module, I think the issue is down to overheating. It seems to be a bit more reliable with the screen open a bit. The USBs all work on PCs and in a Sony ICE unit I had but tbh I can live with it not able to read them 100%
  17. Ive got an Alpine unit in the car and Im not having the same positive response as you. In fact mines *****, GPS keeps dropping off, bluetooth the same, and can only see a handfull of files on a memory stick. As a SN its unusable, hence still having the Tomtom in the boot. Many other owners reporting the same issues.
  18. I used to prefer a separate nav but recently got upgraded to a HTC One Mini2 and Im using that now, I can hear it and everything.
  19. You're wrong about that, no one is trying to sell you anything. All the posts above give good advice. You're battery is clearly knackered, bin it and replace. A panel upgrade would make sense as your lack of maintenance may well have damaged the charge circuit, something this panel type is well known for. Have a look on the PCB in the region of the battery leads connections you may well find a burnt out resistor. Given the state of the "battery" (it ceased being a battery years ago) Id be surprised if you didnt.
