When did they last charge you for a battery? Not all alarm companies are the same and not all engineers have the proper training or understand how things work. I have come across systems with ten year old batteries in them, yet the system has been serviced every year. We took over a leisure center a couple of years ago because the incumbent company had told them that the panel was knackered and wanted a small fortune to replace it. We replaced it for less money but while we were changing the kit we found numerous batteries that were knackered which had probably been the cause of the diagnosis that the panel was knackered. This system had been serviced by several nationals and a local co whilst the batteries were passed their sell-by. A decent local company will have changed your battery every four years regardless.

It may be too late if you have not replaced the battery when it was due you may well find that the charging circuit is knackered anyway

Doesnt make sense, they either trust Hik or they dont, the camera can be just as much a problem as the recorder, in fact more so because there are more of them. I have found Chinese cameras that report to a cloud, even though they were never set up by the installation company to do so (as far as we are aware)http://2827476.seetong.com/ admin/1234 Now I am no expert, but if the cameras automatically talk to the cloud then, in theory, surely the cloud could automatically talk to them. Cameras are made to stream footage so again what's to stop them doing a ddos attack if given the right command from a cloud. I am very careful what I install, and how it's installed in government and council buildings.

If you can get one the same, then you can just replace the rkp

Last I saw he applied for a co I had not heard of, I think everyone else down this way knows of him. Strangely his name came up in convo with James today as well.

I was working in a pub (full of dole type psseads drinking in the middle of the afternoon), door contact was high res but I had an idea it was more than one door in series with a jb somewhere, this was before the days of EOL. Meter on the panel attached to the door contact cable, I went to prop a fire door open, when I came back meter was gone, nobody saw a thing. Ironically I nearly got my old meter out when I opened the back of the van, but I thought nah I would rather use my nice one.

My Fluke was stolen a few years ago, ever since Ive only ever purchased cheap meters. We calibrate them ourselves
