Controlling lights with Galaxy RIO
If heavy loads are being switched you could use the relay to switch on a contactor

Risco / Eurosec tamper reset
I would check that tamper spring clicks when the cover is fitted and that the cover is seated correctly, then wait a couple of minutes then trigger the detector (so it sends a new signal to the panel) then type your code in. Is it possible that the system has been set up for engineer reset on tamper. If the above fails then you will have to make a call to the installing company / current maintainer

Shock sensor with contact on Pyronix Euro 46
I use Risco Shocktec - a suggestion for any alternative
-
Veritas r8+ random zone faults
I would measure for induced AC, also measure the incoming mains I have fitted ACT DC stabilisers when I've had ever had a problematic site that had false alarmed for no apparent reason. (obviously after testing the detector) Do you route your alarm cables away from mains cabling? (this can cause spikes, especially from circuits that control motors or fluorescent lighting)

Identification of reader
agree with you all Galaxy Max Reader

The Best
ditto, very good sensor... excellent false alarm rejection and good catch

Connecting a GJD lighting relay to a Texecom elite 24 control panel.
You need to connect the 0V from the GJD controller to the relay (C - or Common) and from the (NO - Normally Open) via a diode to the relevant zone you want the GJD lighting controller to trigger. When the bell triggers it will energise the relay & trigger the relevant GJD lighting zone activating the lighting. See picture below

Honeywell Accenta/optima ADE Gen4 panel display problem
I would consider a professional service to ensure everything is working as it is intended
-
Scantronic 9448+ no power or status leds, but leds on keypad
I suspect you may of blown one of the panels quick blow (I would test them)
-
Risco door contact error
That will be possible an anticode code number, I suspect unless you have the knowledge to default & reprograme everything give your installer a call
-
Paragon Plus NIGHTMARE!!
I agree, so many people say security is high priority on their list but then scrimp when it comes to protecting their home & valuables... It makes no sense, upgrade for peace of mind

Honeywell AG8 bell box
Is the onboard bell box timer set for 5 minutes? (may be worth triggering the bell again from the panel to check that the bell fuse has not blown)
-
Risco door contact error
As per PeterCTS's comment, I suspect the company will have engineer reset on the tamper. Have you checked the battery has not come lose? If you tap on the casing does the LED light?

Scoping out the existing alarm in my new house
The 601 doesn't have an app you can use (not to my knowledge anyway) other Risco products do but that would involve a change in controls
-
Scantronic 9448+ Entry Exit Zone and External Bell
Only Just seen this, Are you part setting the system? If so you have a part set response on the programming menu (it can either be full alarm or internal sounder only)
-
Veritas R8 will not programme
I agree with SWB, a tamper is a must for an external bell box. My preference is to wire them with 8 core then at least you have a few spare cores

Help with resetting Accenta 6
Best thing is to look on the NSI website and pick a local company from there... These companies have all been vetted Depending on what issues they find will govern the overall price, but im sure they will give you a standard service cost if you ask...

Marquee attempted intrusion. Alarm solutions?
I concur with SWB, the optex units (dependant on choice) usually fire out dual IR beams, both of the IR beams are centimetres apart and have to be simultaneously tripped to cause a trigger event.. They come as a pair, One of units is the transmitter & the other a receiver, I certainly would look at installing to an alarm panel as a minimum

Scantronic 9930 Panel Not Working
I echo what Al-yeti has said, a service or upgrade would be the way to go
-
Help with resetting Accenta 6
The system has probably locked out with the PA button being still activated, also appears like the back up battery is well past its best and needs replacing... I would strongly consider either a system upgrade (as the panel is very old) or a service by a professional
-
Scantronic 9752 K02 missing
I would power down (mains & Battery) & then power back up & see if it is still missing the keypad address
-
Marquee attempted intrusion. Alarm solutions?
Just reading this post & I agree that beams installed internally would be the way forward, I have always used OPTEX and found them very reliable. Have you had any thoughts on what the alarm will trigger? Siren / GSM dialler etc, if there is expensive kit in there as you say then it may attract professional thieves
-
Concept alarm system
Im sure the concept rkp needed 12 cores
-
Risco Panic Button Not Setting Of Siren/Sounder
I suspect you will need to ask the installer to modify in the engineer programming

New Test Monitor Time - whats everyone got
I have an IPC tester that I bought from videcon a couple of years ago it does analogue & iP and looks exactly the same as this... Does anyone know if the firmware can be upgraded so it will do TVI / CVI?
