Site has been live for two years and it was set hence activating when the Police went it - my thoughts a mixture of the beams set as being default medium sensitivity and the intruder being fully covered.

So you have beams not pirs?

there are 3 pir's from the door to the till no door opening so no zone acted as a guard access so if activated it would have created an instant alarm. nothing on the log from the previous night setting until the Police walked in

So either wasn't set , or something wrong with installation

Yes wireless, front door not opened but smashed through - full coverage of the guy inside, heavy coat gloves hood and mask, went straight to the till £350 cash. the areas beyond the entry route had PIR's to create the confirmed - not looking at the same area. Front door not opened so entry route, confirmation timers etc. not an issue. Point taken about DT but thought for the risk we had enough kit.

So as others might put it, inadequate entry route protection to the till , no entry timer started

Police come walk around like normal, activate detection hence signals sent

You were concerned from start of this post that signals weren't sent , probably, so no detection from outset

That's what I think , he knew where the cash was and it's route

Has anyone else asked for your logs yet and reports, show them here aswell .....

Thinking of a logical answer as I think we need one - there are 3 PIR's inside and a contact on the glass front door, the intruder went through the front door not opening the contact. Going by the image of the intruder he was fully clothed mask, head gear and thick coat, gloves etc. - the PIR's are set to medium sensitivity so I think possibly it wouldn't pick him up.

The site is on a high street/main road so I didn't want to put vibration sensors on the front door/windows but feel this is now a must as well as increasing the PIR sansitivity.

    Any thoughts appreciated.

Is it possible to answer previous questions?

I think you should get a day job if you think setting pirs to high sensitivity, all three?

    What pirs?

What kind of door , broke a panel in a door at bottom uPVC?

Sounds a bit fishy, either someone walk tested the system and found blind spots, or the system was unset and the CCTV times have been adjusted to make it look like it was out of hours. The log logs when its armed and when its not Id be getting a print off and checking the CCTV very closely to make sure that the clocks are all correct. The only times Ive seen anything like it always turned out to be an inside job.

    Insurance job?

Been to site panel shows nothing but when the Police went in it sent all the correct info as though they were the intruders. nothing on the log since set to them turning up - video shows there was an intruder, smashed door and money stolen! after testing everything works as it should - abit worring but frustrating I need to wait till the 2nd but think the panel is the issue not their web service.

So what your saying is panel is possibly faulty and your responsible?, logs show set only and none of the devices triggered

    I assume all devices wireless?

    Your contract on monitoring?

    Maybe others here can comment

Maybe you made mistake , supervision and other things all switched off

Hkc usually tell us when they doing maintenance, I haven't had this issue personally, these days they email us if anything major

But the alarm itself should do it's job

  8. 4 hours ago, Terry Hunter said:

Had a customer broken into last night - cameras picked up the intruder but the HKC alarm didn't report anything until the Police when in 6 hours later then all worked and the monitoring station received everything.

I think HKC were doing maintenance on their servers as this is not the 1st time I have experianced this and I doubt if they will come clean.

Besides this why do Security suppliers especially HKC have no support (even email) over the holiday.

So what's the panel logs say?

Can you display them here just the logs ?

    Is it police response?

    WiFi only?

Yes we understand that it stops faults, we have gone around all the keypads and made sure the tamper switch is triggered on all of them. Yet we still have the same recurring problem. From my knowledge it wouldn’t beep if there is a keypad fault anyway as the panel is in engineer. We have no clue what else it could be

    As jw

But which zones are set to chime?

    Thanks for the reply James..

This is happening over all 4 nodes, intermittently with no pattern and not the same addresses each time, Site is a stadium with 1 node/loop on each of the stands, yesterday during an event 1 manual call point on nodes 1,3 and 4 caused fire events, no human interaction was involved in setting off these, cctv footage has confirmed this on this occasion and most others. These 3 devices have not been changed as of yet due to not having 3 spares in my van..

When the stadium is empty/not in use no there is never ever a false alarm triggered by any of these manual call points. Each stand has a plant room with a manual call point, (non IP rated) a sounder base and a smoke head, neither of these ever cause any issues either.

The rogue devices previously have been deleted from the download and loop learned back on with the replacement, They may or may not fire again but due to the random nature of this I am not sure this would make any difference anyhow.

I was on site Friday afternoon carrying out a PPM visit, nodes 1 and 2 tested, all devices fine with no issues evident in the logs of these 2 nodes.

There's an event in progress today, all day.. we will see what that brings.

Is the the fire panel integrated with anything other system that's used in match days , just wild guessing

    Otherwise I say rats

    Hello!

Moved in to house, with this alarm that appears faulty, the fuse for the alarm is down, when it's flicked up the alarm sounds.

We were not provided with the code!

Is there any way to reset it completely without the code?

Any clue why it's would be sounding the alarm as soon as it's powered on, or is that a very silly question!

The TA light is on too

    Many thanks

Hi I have to keep changing my wireless window battery every 6 months keeps saying battery low  I bought good ones  still every 6 months my other wireless contacts  never do that  any idear please

    Kind regards

    Naeem

What good batteries did you buy and from where?

Recently sub says I want to change my own batteries , I said carry on , after a few weeks of continuous tamper alarm alarms because they couldn't close covers properly, they kept getting low batteries, changed battery reset keeps coming back same problem

They bought as I suggested Duracell lithium cr123

Another few weeks still don't want to pay me to come , so I say carry on.....

Eventually they tell me, they bought them from Amazon general supplier (china copy maybe???)

I said buy them from somewhere else see what happens

Fault disappears and they return all the batteries bought from Amazon , woohoo 🎉

Problem here is Amazon or eBay or many places can't guarantee supply chain ?

Just a side story , where you buy your batteries from ? I don't think your sensor goes sleep either ....

You don't mention much about the system, I'm assuming it's a Texecom Elite with a Smartcom and that it's connected with Wifi.

If so and you have replaced the router as per what the ISP have said then yes it's very likely a new router will require the Smartcom reconfiguring.

If the system was setup with wired Ethernet it should remove this issue.

Sounds like you also need a new installer if unreliable, the app is tied to the installer they are not end user serviceable. Although suddenly and 6 months in the same sentence seems odd...

Does the texe allow user to connect to new isp or WiFi connection via user menu?

Hi I am looking to replace 7 analogue cams with ip poe cams but wanted to keep my Samsung DVR which is a SRD 1673D some DVRS can switch from analogue to ip (I have read ) but don't think this one can, does anyone know is there a piece of kit that can convert the new ip cams to use on this DVR and would the picture quality be affected.

many thanks. All cables are run in cat5 at the moment.

Waste of time , seriously, those recorders you can't even give away now, even swann has overtaken it

So you will be like trying to fit ip 720p or something like that

Yeah, I chose not to use Home Assistant as relying on MQTT server worries me. The contact closure output for me is super reliable, and Lutron is fantastic kit, so virtual keypads or even I/O on some of their drivers is ideal for this.

Super right in that the alarm can pick up so much slack anyway. Back when I thought it was cool, I used the alarm to switch on a red light outside to show the alarm was armed. This was before I realised I do not want the world and his wife / husband knowning when my alarm may be armed or not.

Lutein is fantastic until it goes wrong , then usual happens sub doesn't want to pay , and sometimes the one man business won't come back and then they have to end up paying

But other than that it's quite good , provided they put the right bulbs in when using the dimmer system lol

I actually would say they are well designed even tho I don't use that model.

Anything with a backlight will die eventually and at least the led strip is removable/replaceable.

Yes compared to the old delta on board led , but then the other delta had the module aswell, and that led module used to be available a fair bit , didn't see much fail on latter
