Its very unlikely the alarm is doing something to trigger the occupancy sensor. Mask your sensor(s) over with electrical tape, open door external *IF* there's a weird interconnection between the systems your lights will come on. I assume opening the door is causing something to move within the area of the occupancy sensors eg- blinds, house plants or some weird reflection on the glass of the opening door reflecting onto the glass of another building into the room with the occupancy sensors Reducing the sensitivity of your occupancy sensor(s), is where I would start.

What's your relationship in this ? Your alarm, your electrics or your building ?

I'd guess the occupancy sensor is on a suspended ceiling & when the door is opened the tile is moving enough to put the lights ons.... What is the "door alarm sensor" - just a contact ?

I was bored the other day & was messing at work, using Wireshark I can see everything on my network sending packets of data (whatever) as expected. Our alarm signals via a TCD,oddly I can't see any data connected to its IP ? I can see data when I ping..... Being just a simple alarm monkey... can anyone explains whats happening ?

the solar tat is upto 1km in range, (radio, not the the beam pair) the visonic tat is a pir for back garden, the sort of size with neighbours with cats, balls ect.... I suspect either rigged up make a alarm will just piss you off until you disconnect it.... -

Outdoor Sensors - 1B-100 PERIMETER ALARM
MrHappy replied to John Charnock's topic in Members Lounge (Public)
Chinky tat, but work quite well, brackets ain't great, programming is worse, unlikely to work all the time off solar in the UK as not enough charge to go over night its a chime for the drive rather than security... -
