  1. I can't think of successful alarm installer franchise ? Dyno does'nt seem to have done much, Yale or Stanley would probably have the marketable names....
  2. Single door kit is cira £350+vat which is the cheaper end for access control, You'll then need a lock a PC, a token for every user & a what ever time it takes to get it all working, good luck
  3. went out the other week & came home in taxi, £12 ish or £1.5 ish a mile, however people ring our office thinking we'll travel 30ml from the office to look at their faulty alarms for free,
  4. A little bit more on topic than diesel engines, Did a double take to see a shinney yale box on this -
  5. 1 female torx on mine (2008) tweaking the circled one appeared to do the business... amazed such a minor weep appears to have bought the lamp on
  6. maybe, its getting cleaned up with brake cleaner & sold
  7. 1.6hdi, been wiped but did'nt look much worse before... Elm's a couple of quid & limited in its use, I've also a knock off lexia which I've not quite managed to get going
  8. I've enough work but under staffed to start with, Mended the van yesterday.... engine light has been on months, after a week of looking I found my cheapo elm327 scanner lead & then looked the fault codes on the internet P0093 - Fuel System Leak Detected - Large Leak P1351 - IDM input circuit Malfunction/Ignition coil control circuit High voltage (Siemens system - Pre/Post heating relay circuit. Relay not controlled and glow plugs supplied). Whipped the plastic engine cover off & had a look how hard replacing glow plugs or the relay would be, had wipe around the top end as there a small amount of oil present, guess the oil might be diesel from the bolt which secure an injector, checked 'em with a torx bit on a ratchet & no.1 is very loose & no. 3 is quite loose. Fire the old beast up, no faults present, press the reset button & volá engines light is off & remained for 100+ml of chasing around happyland today, I'd bet the tame mong in my local garage would have charged lots & taken a long time to mend it, call me Dr Diesel
  9. unless documented on history card / log book or jobsheet..... you'll never know
  10. i oftend think of fatal accident, the police showed a cropped pic the local paper showed the full pic, died right between 2 saftey cameras....
  11. I assume former national speed limit road ?
  12. if you get to go to speedng seminar, pls share any vat no's or company info on the receipt
  13. guess you've never had one before, As norm said your reg plate has been caught going faster than 50 in a 50 limit. if you ingore it they'll resend with a threating letter, then complete the document, scan or photocopy it then shred it....
  14. I think you'll find being a touch "tragic" is requirement to be on TSi ?
  15. I think it's been discussed elsewhere in more detail, however you'd expect more mention of "alarm" in major fire ?
  16. ******** you've got me reading this again... the report only mentions "alarm" twice-
  17. IIRC the fire at Clandon was discovered by staff investigating why the socket they where using for their computer had switched off ? Opened cupboard door to check consumer unit to find a cupboard full of flames ?
  18. Amendment 2 calls for metal boards to contain fire due to loose connections on domestic installs.... does'nt appear to have worked very well on this one
