  3. oh well his loss...
  4. no, anyway shouldn't you be offering advice to the OP?
  5. No, buy a dash camera, it should afford great protect against lying ********...
  6. Its my brother from another mother... Tom, if your gonna set your TPE co. up ensure what transport you use has the correct commercial insurance. My run in with a bus had 28k worth of personal injury claims, Aviva appointed an accident investigation co. who attended our premises & went though the far end of a fart looking for way to try & void the policy. Which brings me back to post 2, if life goes pair shaped & you had to find 40k or whatever to pay Aviva off, would you rather be a ltd co. or as a sole trader?
  7. well I never heard of Charlie Hebdo until quite recently.... so upset some nutters & get your office shot up ?
  8. prudence
  9. I was thinking along the same lines.... Howver- assuming the detection devices are wired correctly, both Inputs & ZEM's need to be programmed on ? (IIRC)
  10. My advice on starting an electronic security company is - don't. However is your silly enough - a) form a ltd; co. b) inform your current employer c) advertising - lettered van + website is all we do The problem is, you need to be established & approved to get the work worth doing.
  11. Do you have Gaz's mobile ?
  12. you'd be better off with - http://www.batterycompany.co.uk/shop/power-sonic-12-volt-batteries/power-sonic-ps1270-12v-7ah-rechargeable-sla-battery/ not that I'd buy powersonic....
  13. take a week day off work...
  14. Luca, I think texecom transmitting in clear has been mentioned before? I assume the encrypted udl code can be de encrypted via powershell ? What banner text does the com-ip broadcast to find it the popular search engine, I can see a no. of "automated tank guage" it default port but nothing I would think is a com-ip ?
  15. If your unhappy with the price that "Ace" charge you ring around other local alarm companies, however a one off repair to a domestic bells only alarm might not be of much interest to some firms ?
  16. I use AM, Like any of the others its head start from making your own but its just a frame work & you will put a lots time & effort into getting the best from it.
  17. raffiki turned into fike, however I think JSB had a "bi wire" heads that where "system sensor" ?
  18. Reading or replying with "lol" can be done via the mobile skin, A proper wordy replay needs "full version" & ideally a proper keyboard
  19. Fire alarm stuff by Cooper Menvier is a bit - meh... JSB "Bi-wire" was rafiki based detection before rafiki's appeared in the market place It then changed to something different? Now they have Meniver type heads? Cooper normally chop & change stuff w/o having backward compatibility Personally I'd prefer to retain cables, junk controls & devices & put my own kit in place. If you want to get the tat going, wire a callpoint onto a fly lead & make a circuit at the controls with just that item on & work your way though faults
  20. its probably a prop in the office of "men behaving badly)
  21. I've had a handful of premiers with "sticky" zones You program it to "X" but it behaves as "Y" eg- walkthough zone that goes into alarm during entry, (& when you check its deffo programmed correct) program it off, come out of engineering. Go back & put it back to walkthough & its fine I've experienced the same thing with other panels (either a optima+2, 9800 or TS790 forget which or maybe all?)
  22. even somewhere expensive like maplins the largest battery that will fit is under £50 Ebenezer, have your usual 3 ghosts made their Christmas visit yet ?
  23. its only 3 month, why rush...
  24. I've 5 static ip's but would have delegate the router config to someone less "alarm monkey"
