  1. reaches for calculator... Kit from ADI £216.00 x10% & 4hrs x £35.75 = £380.60+vat (456.72inc)
  2. I can't be bothered to work out 35.75 + 10% on the visonic q uote..... All of us on the tools have done it- but why advertise working dangerously ?
  3. Not that I buy 'em, a trade discount of 19.5% on the leading security wholesalers web portal still leaves ebay £21.60 cheaper.... I'd assume the equipment the installer has spec'd is a reflection on what he's thinks you'll spend, eg there's no way you'd pay for webway
  4. unscrew from wall & place in a skip....
  5. no different than- Security..... you'll normally find that do a 1/2 decent job change the codes of their lock, alarm, router ect... from 1234 or whatever it leaves the factory with go on google, find the manual default the system back to factory engineer code,
  6. make the pic big & there's a telephone no. & email address... personally I rip it off the wall & buy a proper one...
  7. I was thinking Digiair + URN, but you need a proper alarm co. cool
  8. There's no guaranteed you'll get a text.. The panel's modem dials an SMS gateway on a fixed telephone I guess your not going to pay rental on exclusive line for the alarm ? So Ms Smith leaving an answer phone message, an incoming fax, a handset left of hook a line fault/ line cut by burglar will prevent an outgoing call SMS gateways don't generate an income for the network should it stop working their a low priority to get repaired, some networks no longer support there's, In times of high demand texts can be delayed or lost. Its not really suitable for alarm signalling, If you really wants texts there's SMS-Com thing which takes a sim card which is better but again its not alarm signalling
  9. Alarm, Is a DIY suitable for you insurers ? I would not trust text messaging for alarm signalling. I would always prefer to wire a commercial building. Can't comment on what detection your having w/o a floor plan If your having a PA button under the counter, I would always recommend the system holding a Police URN CCTV, Again I'd be looking to wire camera's "maybe a small screen" cctv needs a monitor located nr the recording equipment in a private area so when you looking at Miss X thieving, fighting, stealing or whatever your not surrounded by staff or customers who are to gossip about it or tweet online....
  10. now your just being silly... menu's something like "test / diagnostics" select "on charge" , "off charge" ect lowest is 11.8v & highest 14.2v or there abouts
  11. put it in engineering & leave it until the battery is replaced ? or power it down? or keep hitting it with a hammer until it goes quite ? (pete sutcliffe ?)
  12. If I a broken Transporter van I'd have it valeted & bung it on ebay... remember to include "surf van" . "camper" on the listing
