  1. well this is why im here asking these questions and showing photos of the equipment!
  2. greetings, i have to quote to replace a menvier control panel which was once on redcare but bells only now. the keypad appears to be exactly the same as a mevier m800 series panel, there is what looks like one of menviers node expanders next to the panel and the zone list is numbered as zones 0001 to 0006 which i assume is wired off the panel and zones 2011 to 2018 which i assume are zones wired from the expander next to the panel. i have not opened the panel. can i also assume that this is not an id biscuit panel? it would be handy to assertain this before i quote to fit with a standard double pole eol panel. i have attached a library picture of keypad and node. thanks.
  3. i use a dewault 18v for fixings stuff up with but have a 36v sds drill for big work. sds drill is erbauer from screwfix at £250, dont know how long it will last but its been ok for 4 months, however the smaller 18v erbaur drill i bough broke so i replaced it with the dewault version.
  4. ive personally fitted over 250 enforcers, 6 in one week alone, only had 2 faulty panels, 3-4 door contacts faulty, 5 of the old style square keythobs, 2 or 3 pirs but possibly 10 bell boxes with tamper faults which appeared to be due to the **** lid tamper switch, i now adjust the switch completely different and have never had a single bell problem in last 20 months.
  5. thank god id is finally gone, I used to have to install id systems, old company I worked for had thousands of commercials wired id, wont bother them much though as they will just charge to upgrade their old systems to eol.
  6. i would restart hub afterwards, but check to see if public ip address then changes, if so then you'd need to use a ddns host service or pay for a static ip address, or use a dvr with a cloud service or built in ddns account. otherwise without these services the public ip address which you enter into the app to find the dvr will change now and then and you'll have to keep putting the new public ip address into the app, as much as every couple of weeks.
  7. hi all, im a self employed security engineer with 23 years experience, I install and service, intruder, fire, ip cctv and analogue cctv, access control, external detection systems, intercom, security lighting and wifi and networking. based in south lincs area. .
