Check the safety devices also, possibly one of those, I personally would get a gate co in for liability reasons when his car/wife/kid gets trapped in it.
I agreeJust to clarify JOO, if the part failed in the first 12m then FOC but as I have just re-read it I suspect it failed outside 12m and the warranty is an extended warranty by the manufacturer then imo you do not pass that on to the end user.
Also you will have little recourse from the manufacturer for your time, but it may be worth a try for a gogw
