Hi boys and maybe some girls, In the past, when all the bits has been designed and given on the plate as needed I didn't have this problem. But lately, when I was thrown in to the ongoing random "mess", I realise that, I need to get my head around about understanding card types, bits and ideally how quickly figure out what card type is and what should work with what. When questions comes with bit and types. Then including enrolment card readers, that is possible to be programmed to read different formats and so on. Ideally would be, to find some on-line training or maybe guides that could put me on the right way. Any techniques to figure out card types? Any device to …

First post and it's a very long shot.... I have a 20yr old wired alarm system which uses a Lynteck Nexus 8 alarm panel. Has never given any problems at all. Over the years, the PIR sensors have been replaced one at a time as they’ve failed. This morning, an engineer from the company which installed and maintained my CCTV system, installed a new sensor which he managed to short in the process, blowing the internal fuse in the main unit. He changed it and everything was okay but my master user code had been reset to 1234. The engineer code was unchanged. I have a copy of the engineer’s installation manual but NOT the user guide. The engineer's manual doesn’t seem to me…

Hello, hope you're all well and also hoping someone can help me with a query. I've lived in my property for ten years and the SL8 Alarm system was in place when we moved in. Around that time I managed to change the code to a more personal one. All has been fine until we were burgled a month ago and had two cars stolen, the alarm was off. I'm now setting the alarm of an evening, and using the omit option to omit a zone because of my dog, however when I go into the omit option, I can see another zone is being automatically omitted, and I don't want it to be, just the one I'm selecting. Does anyone know how I can reactivate that zone that…

Hi Guys, what kit do you use for multi meter calibration? We currently have an older version of one of these Calmaster units which seems to be a bit of a faf on to me,. Is there not something more modern that is a maybe more automatic and produces a print out of results or is that just silly money anyway? Just wondering if this is what you guys all use also?

Hi boys and girls, I'm designing a one function for intruder alarm based on Honeywell Dimension Galaxy. I have got multiple panic alarm buttons and multiple relay outputs. I guess it will be Honeywell C074 Galaxy Series 4-Way Relay Interface and i would guess this will be connected on pin header. All will be as 24hour type of inputs and I need: when one or another zone (panic button) activated, to trigger one or another output, which will be C074. So if Zone1 activated Out1 activated, if Z2 activated out2 activated and so on. and keep output active until it zone changes the state. And keep normal 24hour zone monitoring as normal. …

Right, Advanced Mxpro 4, networked x 4, Apollo protocol. Full system has 160 devices split between the 4 nodes All 4 nodes have a selection of XP95 ip rated MCP's (58200-951APO) with clear covers fitted, XP95 Intelligent MCP's (SA900-908APO) with clear covers, XP95 Open area sounder beacons (55000-005APOX95) And XP95 Apollo SD's (55000-600APO). Monday to Friday and in general the site has no issues, but when there's an event on we are getting intermittent call point activations with nobody near them, this has no obvious pattern either, split between all 4 nodes, just random as hell. The activations are only involving the ip rated MCP's, we have s…

Any Ideas? when they put the master code in no faults were showing

I'm never had in my hands this module and there is not much great info o the net abut it. But let me know if I'm really have no clue what it is. From very poor quality picture on manufactures website I can see that it has no Ethernet port, I don't believe that it has external header for ethernet socket, that you have to buy separately. But in description its clearly stating that is "Ethernet" and in some lines even mentioned "LAN". https://buildings.honeywell.com/gb/en/products/by-category/control-panels/parts-and-accessories/enclosure-mounts-and-hardware/gt40-communications-module Only what I see is that manufacture this size has being lazy to make two di…

I'm trying to get my head around setting up a Euro 46 to do area set. The scenario is a small factory that has decided to sub-let the upstairs of an office block. These will share a common lobby area. I need to reconfigure the panel such that the tenants can only unset/set the sensors in their space (hence leaving the main factory set) but the factory staff and unset all the zones. The bit I don't get is.... If the tenant unsets the panel & then the factory staff arrive later...... what triggers the second entry/exit to cause them to enter a code to unset the main factory? Also, the EURO46 has areas 0, 1, A, B, C D. …

Hi Am after some way of putting up to 45 degree bends in my aluminium conduit. I am in the UK, the conduit measures around 13mm external and about 12mm internal - standards stuff available form ADI. I use the 90degree and couplers already. When I ask they say computer says no, to 45degree bends. I tried micro bore plumbing pipe benders but the formers were not Goldy Locks, not quite right; that resulted in the pipe kinking or not fitting in the former. Or maybe you know of a 45degree manufactured bend available? Cheers John
