Introduce Yourself

I'm new to this group but not to the industry. I have 30+ years in electronics starting with TV and slowly progressing all the way to security. I'm the Operations and Implementation Manager of Technical Support for a Canadian Company. Although I do work within the Central Station, myself and my Tech Team focus on solving all those little anoying problems that plague the techs in the field. We deal with just about every know panel type out there and still I find something new I can learn everyday. I hope I can be of help from time to time with the problems and questions I'm sure I'll find in this group.

Hello, I found this forum by chance, I work for Initial & I was struggling fitting an ATS .Anyway aleast I know its not just my branch having a few problems. I have been in this industry for 3 years, before that an electrician for 12 years. Looking forward to many happy hours getting help of you guys & maybe giving out some as well. PJF

I work for a development company in their elctrical department and install alarm systems, both fire and intruder and also cctv. Unfortunately we are not allowed to get too involved with the specs as it is all decided by the money men. However one can hope that the chiefs will one day listen to the indians.

Good morning everyone, Having spent the last few days reading through most of forums but mainly the cctv forum, i finally decided it time to join in. Hi, I am a female alarm virgin, just looking for info about getting my alarm serviced! I have moved into a new house and have never had an intruder alarm system before. The first I knew we had an alarm was shortly after wondering what the red button on the bedroom wall was (at 9.30pm on the first night in the new house......how to make yourself popular with your new neighbours (especially when you don't know what the code is)......). We haven't used the alarm yet as it doesn't seem to set properly (we have no instructions other than what's on the panel).
