My name is Stuart and I'm currently starting up my own Security Systems company which is now called Casa Security. Not to be confused with the US based company of the same name (apparently). Ok, I don't think you'll want my life story but for anyone who can offer any contract work in the Bath / Bristol / Wilts area here it is! I'm a fully qualified Electrician and am currently doing contract work for a medium size contracting firm. I also handle all the alarm work for them, unlike most sparkies th…

Hi. I am jo public, and no connections to the alarm industry. I have a logical mind, and with the help of a kind engineer, I have a Galazy 16 panel with 3 pirs, 1 smoke, 1 vibration, 1 door mag contacts, keypad and bell. I have had a local company service it for the past 3 years, and in march, when brordband comes and I will be ditching ISDN, I think I wiould like to go monitored. A few questions therefore.... and I hope it is OK to post them here... Should I get the local company to take over? ( They are known to be expencive) Should I go elsewhere? Should I start again, or is my system up to it?

Hi, I'm not in the security installation business, but I'm looking to get into it, so I have signed up. I'm in I.T / networking, LAN, Wan, servers, PC's, Structured cabling (Cat5) and a little fibre optic termination. Does any one know how I can get started without any experience, any info would be great

Im just me, I have a lot of experience with computers/software, and a ok'ish knowledge of electronics. What scares me is I seem to know more than many so called pro's, but hey that boost's my confidence no end I like learning, and messing around, and dont mind getting dirty doing it, but I also like being devils advocate sometimes when its needed. I dont like bullies, and can easily outwit them, as they are not that bright. To those who think they know more, well hats of to those of you that do, there are many of you here that do, I admit that. To those that want to cause a problem, well, I wont be - so dont.
