Well hello everyone - I have been looking through many previous postings and laughing (or crying!) and the many stories, many of which I have seen or done. Thanx all! Anyway - My name is Simon and I am an intruder service engineer down in the south west of England for AD....you know who. Only been with them 18 months or so, but previously with a local Co for 15+ years. I will try to add to new posts as and when I think I can contribute to the discussion - hope to speak to you all soon. Simon

Evening everybody just thought I'd say hi. I'm quite new to installing, only do it part time really although I'm looking at it a new career option when I leave the big green machine in three years. I'm hoping that this site will be the answer to all my prayers. Going to post a question in a minute but I thought it rude not to introduce myself first.

I've just spotted this forum and hopefully it will answer many of my questions! I'm not a trade security installer but it's something I've wanted to get into. I've done plenty of DIY alarm installs for myself and family and want to learn a little more about the CCTV side of things. I meant to look into all this stuff 10 years back when a friend at my office complex was already in it and doing loads of council contract work but I was too busy with other ****. Anyway...enough about my life story, hope I can post here without too many flames

Hi, all. My name is Ari and I've been an installer for almost fifteen years. My dad has been in this business for nearly thirty. After years of working for other people, we've finally opened our own shop. Our main office is in New Jersey, and I run New York City installs. Two of my brothers work with us as well. My youngest brother is still in grammer school and I tell him: graduate, and get a real job. Our main focus is in CCTV and DVRs, but we do quite a few alarms, KSUs, and access control systems as well. Bored one night, I did a search for "alarm installers forum" and ended up here". Looking forward to sharing my funnier stories- AE

Hi everyone, I'm a new member. I've been in the industry for over 25 years, just seems like a few. I recognise your name "Dave Partridge", were you employed by the old, AFA or Thorn in the midlands, I used to be part of the training department and looked after Curdworth House for my sins. I possibly bumped into you during my travels around the branches.

Hi, My name is Lorraine and I'm a diyer! I'm not quite sure what to put in these things but i'm sure you don't get many women on here, or is that a stereotypical assumption? At the moment I am rewiring my house and trying to get the alarm sorted at the same time. Lorraine
