Hello Everybody, I am a new member and would like to introduce myself. I am an electrican by trade but spent some time in the networking industry, been out on my own for the last three years. Most of our CCTV is requests from customers wanting systems installed, so far so good, intresting to read about IP etc. I have been reading this forum for the last year or so, may I take this oppurtunity to thank all the contributors, I have learnt an incredible amount of what to do and more importantly what not to do. Hi everyone, My name is jay - just a quick post to let you know what an excellent site you have! I am a IT Engineer, currently self employed Had a Accenta G3 alarm fitted, about a year ago, and had a great time assisting the install engineer, got shown most of the system from the cableing to programing the unit. Hello all, My name is John from Ireland and its great to find this very useful site. I have only installed one alarm but helped fix a few. I have being asked by some of my friends to install something in their houses and fortunatly they are prewired with four core except one . This house might be a wireless jobby as it amazes me how some installers make the wires dissapear completly (and others don't bother) there must be a trade secret to it. I don't know how to do it without chasing conduits through the wall. hello everyone.just found this place.i have just moved into a new unit and thought i could sort the alarm out myself.i no nothing about them but the owner said just open it and reset it. where do i goto to find information in how to fix it,i have set the tamper bit of and cant get it to stop .i have trried a few codes and resets but no luck.i have had to unwire the bell from the battery and removed the fuse. any help on how to reset the nvm would be great.or can you tell me where to post so i might find out.i dont want to have to buy a new alarm if i dont have to. p.s anybody in or around halifax send me your number and you can do it for me...
