Hello, Been lurking around in the background lately. Ive been in the CCTV / Tagging industry for almost 10 years now. Used to work for Sensormatic before the dreaded buyout. Lasted about 5 months with //.National Installer.// then moved to a more 'enjoyable' job. I have now decided the time is right for self employment and come the new year I will be a free man with no one to answer to but my own merciless self. Anyways thats MY working life story. I should add Ive not got much Intruder/Fire experience but I look forward to participating in these forums and enjoying some friendly banter. P.S any folks from Sensormatic here. Its always good to hear from ex colleagues

Hi, this forum is absolutely fantastic, well done to you all. I have been working in the alarm industry part time for the last 10 years, mainly self taught but also worked for an local alarm company where i honed up on my skills and learnt cctv & access. Still do the odd bells only install to keep my hand in, but most of my time is currently being taken up by a house renovation project i have undertaken, coupled with a full time job as a train driver. keep up the good work!!! mebs

Hello. I'm new around here. Working in a national retailer - one of the companys' loss prevention managers... May have a few questions from time to time... Maybe you'll be able to help me out... Have already posted my first query - wonder if anyones clever enough to help me out? (I hope so!! ) I've got a bit of home grown experience in fitting covert cameras, and have managed some great results.. May have a few questions - but I'll keep those for the other forums...

Hi, I fitted my first system about 20 years ago - A Hoover system. When I moved I wanted to fit s9omething more professional, but no one would sell one to me - at a sensible price that is, so I fitted an A1. I've got to say that both of these systems were fantastic - no problems at all. My A1 has just started playing up after nearly 11 years unbroken service. In the interim I've also fitted a Texcom and many car alarms. I'm planning to bin the A1 (Did I hear a cheer out their) and fit either an ADE Scantronics or Pyronix - any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
