  2. Then I would suggest monitoring in that case.
  3. Customer insists on having phone calls to a list of numbers rather than the DIGI-WIFI as he says he doesn’t keep his mobile with him to get the app notifications. We’re talking an old stuck in his ways elderly man you know the type “Why does it have to be changed it’s all BT’s fault they should just leave the landline on PSTN blah blah blah”
  4. Your mad , that cost as much as v11 enforcer ? Which can handle an app, just saying as you says calls , which are pointless and slower
  5. Today
  6. An update to this topic for anyone reading it Scantronic SD-LTE Universal 4G Speech Dialler This is what I have proposed to the customer if they want calls to mobiles and landlines when there is an alarm activation
  7. Yesterday
  8. Yes I remember installing the Mod 88 great dialers, and working on the Mod 80, with the long loop tape and a carry handle on the top! Hi, yes had the plastic part, had used iit on the 43a, with the exit timer, unsure what shorrok called these controls, did they know them as 41a,43a, 44 etc
  9. Thank you. (I don't have the wiring instructions, this kit came to me as previously used)
  10. Like most sounders the Twin alert manual has the wiring instructions for different manufacturers. Aux Tamp / Aux Tamp / Bell / Spk- / 0V / +12V
  11. Good evening all. Requesting a little help from the good folk of the security installer. I have a pair of Pyronix internal twin alert speaker / sounder units that I'd like to wire into the above mentioned Texecom Premier 24 control panel. I've attached a couple of pictures showing both the speaker / sounder connections and the control panel connections. If some kind person would kindly give me the correct wiring connections between the two it'd be much appreciated. Thank you and regards, Dave.
  12. Last week
  13. Earlier
  14. Check the relay is firing with a meter
  15. So what panel is it, as you said old
  16. Guessing myself Right led flashes? What's left led doing ? Red or green Is it in secure or insecure mode , as I thought one mode requires both fob and code in some sequence
  17. I think Imran thought you were the customer not the installer and has confused the issue
  18. That would be my guess. but as factory standard the timer is usually too long. Have you put the com and n/c in series with the lock and power? I know its a daft question but I have no idea of your ability
  19. Not used one. Is the strike time really short? Does the strike lock require the same voltage as the KP? Have you tested your findings with a multimeter? Is it just not wired correctly or some other simple mistake?
  20. I have a stand alone KP500 only attached to an electric strike lock the com NC the key pad is giving the lock power, locking it i have programmed it, with fobs and a code when i swipe the fob or enter the code , the keypad flashes green and accepts it however the power does not drop for the lock the lock will of course open it I take the power off manually taking a cable out
  21. Speech dialler on PSTN is obsolete I’m talking about an LTE enabled dialler that can phone the customer over 4G like the old way before the broadband went digital
  22. Obsolete item, I probably got some.... Somewhere
  23. Which is also what i was told on the tavcom mains compliance training. _______________________________________
  24. Looking forward to contributing and learning.
  25. If you know what you are doing you could, but I wouldnt advise it if you know nothing about alarms and you dont have anyone you can call, or spare parts. The keypad is used to control the system, if you down power and power up and the keypad still doesnt work you wont be able to silence it. There could be a number of reasons why your panel has done this, if it hasnt been serviced in a while all the batteries will be u/s, it could be a cable has been damaged it could be the keypad has died. Post where you are (Town) there maybe someone on here able to help Galaxy is a well loved known brand and most good engineers know it even if its not their weapon of choice nowadays
  26. Thanks for these replies it gives me something to go on. I’m going to speak to Alert Electrical today and mention this
  27. Hello, I seem te be having a similar problem, yesterday my alarm started displaying the same issue. Only it had been working perfectly for the past 5-6 years. The problem now seems that my installer seems to have gone out of business and nobody want to touch this old thing. I'm capable of doing a reboot (disconnect mains and battery) myself but am wondering if this wil have any influence on the problem. Regards Stijn
  28. You do you are correct, but I was comparing apples with apples, only my apples were much nicer than the apples that the OP was suggesting, those are only good for pig fodder. With my apples you could make one of those lovely lattice apple pies, or a nice cool glass of Cider, or just eat them as is. Yep you could have it monitored and the SIM would be included in the package, or you can just buy a PAYG SIM or add another SIM to your existing Mobile package
