I also dug out that ancient analogue (but electronic) codelock, all it needs is a miniature pushbutton x10 for the keypad part, it isn't even multiplexed. No manual but every terminal is labelled in plain text e.g. 'LOCK OUTPUT' etc.... Although the original backbox for the external keypad was still on the building, it was like an old fashioned iron conduit box, virtually welded on to the steel frame of the building and the frontplate long gone.
