I see little time difference in wiring two cores or four cores TBH. Doubt detectors will be asked to do that many statuses. EOL will not disappear overnight. Lithium battery power is moving fast allowing it to be incorporated into many different platforms and production is ramping up in anticipation of this, examples of this change are all around you in the media - hoovers being the obvious one. I think 3-5 years time we'll be fitting w'free dtecs as standard with all parameters accessable and controlled via the panel/remotely with mesh tech as standard too. Even on new commercial installs.
