too dear, std don't allow, I reckon the most domestic will remain cheap 9448's or cheap to fit radio systems

too dear,

its happening, granted a bms type version of separate systems into one front end but tech moves fast wont be long before one loop fits all

long time before it becomes mass market,

that bits out now,the one loop fits all may be a while but can see it happening im no software guru but id imagine the loop voltage will power all devices with the data to one panel or and front end pc wherever that may be

I deliberately didnt use the word app! But I know what you mean.

But just because install may be easier doesnt mean the systems no longer need installers. Wireless rollout will happen but that fact on its own is largely irrelevant because at the same time I expect the tech gulf to widen between the very low end and the medium (grade 2 if you like) systems.

So end users will still need us, probably even more so than now. Look at the Enforcer app, companies can disconnect users who dont pay the annual fee. As a business model its not too dissimilar to monitored alarms, just different tech.

Also interesting to me is the fact that Castle charge for the custom plastic face plate (Enforcer) where others print direct onto the standard plastic cases for free. Excellent business thinking, more should do the same.

I didn't say that it was, merely that there was some talk about it a while back.
