Funnily I thought that, apparently they had been planning this for some time with his wife so they new what he wore in bed. I was also concerned about the privacy issues of between him arriving home and going to bed.

What about the ir, quite dark on edges , how do you get better spread

We had to use a clock radio in the bedroom swapped the standard leds for ir ones thats why the ir is all over the place, his wife told him she was testing it for her mother, the clock radio is quite funky though you can only read it at night. The other two we used black IR the one in the kitchen there was no where to hide the IR so there is no ir
