Texecom Elite 48. Part Arm

Spending yet another £12000 to MAS to integrate the triggering a relay isn't so attractive.

I'm sure there is a reason why texe don't use seeds but most reset software seems to and the only reason the super hero can PM reset codes is because there is no seed.

I think Matt made the point Adrian.

As for seeds, we have technistore and Menvier reset software, both allow me to choose the seed code. But I do agree it's better than nothing.

but you need to know the seed, but id agree more than 255 seeds would be better

Thats easy if you know the ARC.

The Technistore seed code might as well not be there. You only need 1 quote/reset code on average to work what the seed is. I think other seeded systems have much longer seed codes.

I have a blog, some of which is about alarm security and reverse engineering:

I'm not sure it's worth the effort trying to protect software. I've seen a few companies try it and they either do it badly (a certain signalling system NV memory programming software just checks for some registry keys, which you can see being checked by procmon), or they do it OK and it causes complaints from genuine users and still someone cracks it and distributes the software anyway.

The concept of "registered installer" with most companies is pretty rubbish as well. Not many have turned me down.

Exactly, which supplier has the balls to turn down a one man band today that could be a bigger customer tomorrow?

OK I suspect Matt will answer with UTC, but otherwise...!

So, I've decided to take my work back underground.... to stop it falling into the wrong hands

Agreed. Your just making a carrot for someone to try and crack.

Matt why will it cost so much to add this feature to MAS?

Get cg to crack it and use it for free?
