November 10, 201312 yr comment_353938 After some consideration & replies from this site, I have decided to install a Texecom Elite 48 (metal) with 8XP expander & a com2400. The system is all set up using Wintex software with door magnets & PIR’s, the problem I have is I have set up the part arming for night time so the PIR’s are not on in the house just the door magnets (dogs & small children). However, I can not figure out how to set up this part arm so the keypad or internal sounder does not beep so waking up the house every time it is set at night. I had a Honeywell Accenta G4 previously, which I had programmed for silent arming for night time, but I cannot figure this out. The other problem is when I changed the user code from 1234 it would only let me set up a 6 digit code, I understand this is something to do with the panel being grade 3, but is there any way to change it back to a 4 digit code. November 10, 201312 yr comment_353947 As per manual, Sys config 37- disable Grade 3 Area prog - Area options - 3 part arm silent Use "Alter Part Arms" menu to exclude zones for part arm Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/35618-texecom-elite-48-part-arm/#findComment-353947 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 November 10, 201312 yr comment_353962 Lol, I can understand some sort of tone for a fail to set for example, but as previously mentioned, if you have children etc you need not be alerted to the fact that it's actually set surely?. November 10, 201312 yr comment_353963 So it ain't actually silent then?, Surely there must be a way?, Adrian?. Tried to lower the advisory tone volume? Or switching off options in the Speaker Tone Menu? As with most things on an Elite there's multiple different ways to do it. I agree swb, but is it then not a global thing?, reduced volumes during a full set etc?, I'm asking because I don't know either mate, not because I'm being pedantic lol. November 10, 201312 yr comment_353965 If you dont want the noise at the end of setting you need to turn off Service Tones in system tones, will also need turning off in keypad set up The opinions I express are mine and are usually correct! (Except when I'm wrong)(which I'm not) Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/35618-texecom-elite-48-part-arm/#findComment-353965 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 Yes, it will be Global. Including removing Service Tones like breff suggests. I didn't say you where being pedantic, you just happened to be the nearest on topic quote Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/35618-texecom-elite-48-part-arm/#findComment-353966 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
