July 10, 201312 yr comment_332510 The phone app is the key. The COP DVR we use does everything via the webserver better than any I've used, but not via phone apps. Can you not use it via opera mini or safari? July 10, 201312 yr comment_332528 Doubt it, needs active x. Plus I don't like messing about zooming in on screens, alot easier with an app. Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/34920-dvr-recommendation/page/2/#findComment-332528 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 July 10, 201312 yr comment_332531 Heitel is the only unit I have found which will work on all browsers, all OS's and has iF-fone and aVoid apps. No ActiveX ****, or only from App Store balls. As mentioned it has two relays. July 11, 201312 yr comment_332541 I was the same but the Y3K X vision unit does the same. I didn't expect it to work and we had already planned on pulling it out. But to be fair it did a better job for the client once setup correctly than anything else I would have put in. Does anyone know who makes the x vision units, I assume they are just rebranded? July 11, 201312 yr Author comment_332566 Our DVR has a 18 way input output module we can make it switch on off anything from your phone. Its not cheap but we can program the i/o remotely so if you wanted say motion in a certian area on camera two to trigger an output you can program this remotely using our client program what would 'your' DVR be? You coud do all you want and more with one Axis IP cameras and P8221 I/O mods It will cost a few bob though. yeah but this is going to be a 16ch system so we'd rather keep it analogue Link to comment https://www.thesecurityinstaller.co.uk/community/topic/34920-dvr-recommendation/page/2/#findComment-332566 Share on other sites Share on LinkedIn Share on X Share on Facebook {lang="reddit_text" Share via email Share on Pinterest
 July 11, 201312 yr comment_332615 what would 'your' DVR be? yeah but this is going to be a 16ch system so we'd rather keep it analogue look at Lilyn site, you use a pc and their nvr software is free, or the excellent SystemQ Alien MAX 816 hybrid, having 16 analogue, 8 ip channels.just be aware, smart detective don't work on the ip channels and you need to use the CMS app on a pc tO access all the facilities. the iPad app is incredible i'd expect the android app is to, tbh far better when searching than using the client pc software is.
