Advice On Sensor Positions

Should I be using 6 core to wire everything up with EOL? Or do I use 4 core for door contacts... Not sure what 8 core would be used for.

Is it just good practice to double-up on the power? I can't see any of my cable runs being over 10m and I'm going with one keypad.

Just use 6 core everywhere. No need to double up on power on short runs. You can never have too many spare cables. Over the years you will find a use for them

It did come down to a vote on the keypad design! More zones but 7-10 are shared with the communicator outputs which is a shame. No retro-fitting Raspberry pi's :P:(
